Hmm, noticed that a lot of the item specifications are missing. Quite lazy on the retailer. What's going on with Ebuyer.

ebuyer has gone down hill within the last year. i wudnt be suprised if there revenue showed it to..

Very good deal if your just after a small item, e.g. a cable or something.

Wow amazing find

Was wanting an hard drive enclosure but was going to wait until the new Samsung hard drives are released next month so the order would be over £50.

Now don't need to.

Its always been free over £49.95 whats the speciality ?

Usually I do scan as its free NEXT day delivery and most of the time cheaper

Free on everything, which makes it very useful if you just want something small like a cheap memory stick or ethernet cable. Ebuyer have traditionally had very cheap prices for small items like that but hammered you on delivery costs unless you spend above £50.

This is a hot deal, take advantage of it whilst you can!

Everything under £49.95?

I recently got an email supposedly sent by Armando Sanchez the MD of Ebuyer. Asking why I no longer bought stuff from Ebuyer. I wrote back I was now buying from Scan, notwithstanding their own issues, Scan provided free next day delivery courtesy of a certain forum offer.

Perhaps this is his response?

Apparantly I'm not eligible because according to them I live in "The Scottish Highlands"

They always dispatch my order on the 4th day :x Now I use Scan, Dabs, and Aria, free del. There lost.
#13
Any ideas how to cancel the order? I place an order with credit however eBuyer have kindly billed me for the full amount(!), I immediately went to the cancel order option well within five minutes but it was greyed out and still is.

That's what I thought but I just tried an order and it's not been charged for shipping although the order has gone through when I didn't intend it to, it's not used the credit as it should have done and the cancel order button isn't working...typical eBuyer, if I can ever use this credit that'll probably be the last time I use them.

Use ebuyer more often than not and ordered my new 26" monitor last week on free supersaver 5day delivery and was delivered the following morning at 9am with ups, cant moan at that to be fair
#16
Ebuyer used to be cheap now they are way to expensive sometimes by a tenner, thats what happens when they expand. i shop at scan dabs and a few other places.
#17
excellent find.

yep, and that stopped me from buying the Revo the last time it was posted, not happy at all shunting my postcode to the highlands and forced to charge more, even though it's not according to RM and nearly all other couriers.

I could understand them saying Inverness is in the highlands, but perth? That's pushing it.

I've used Ebuyer from the start - they're what they've always been for me: decent place to bounce pricing off as they've got a big stock list, and sometimes they're cheaper.
Their customer service has usually been garbage - but it it is with most IT suppliers.
Their delivery times range from outstanding - bought on 5 day delivery, arrived the next day - or appalling.

This is a really good deal though. I often wait till I've got a few small things I need before ordering from them so I don't get hammered on postage - I wish this was on for longer.

Agreed, I just looked for a fan and it had no specs on it what so ever

Hot from me - I buy a fair bit of IT equipment for home and work and I more often than not end up getting it from Ebuyer as they work out cheapest a lot of the time Ive found.

Never had an issue with their customer services, in fact Ive only ever had good experiences, with a quick turnaround on my one RMA, and a next day dispatch when I needed a replacement part for a sat nav.

Add to that the fact you often get ebuyer staff on their forums taking an active interest in problems and I reckon their CS is very good overall.

They probably take into account the couple of quid to each of the neds to "wetch yer vawn" when the drivers dropping stuff off :p:p

Rather unfair. You might occasionally find some items where they are uncompetetive, but put a dozen different items in a shopping basket and ebuyer will nearly always be the cheapest overall :)

Wow how did this get so hot, it's only free delivery if you want to wait a week for your item!

And then even if you want to get it delivered you have to get it shipped to your billing address unless you've ordered plenty of items in the past, which means unless you're at home all day you'll have to go out and collect it anyway! lol

Nice to see the Northern Ireland tax remains despite using the SAME delivery company in the mainland who do not charge extra for delivering over here!
EDIT: I just added an item to my basket and went through with Google Checkout which showed delivery to Northern Ireland for free!

I tried to order cheap memory card reader. Despite I selected 5 day Free delivery, Postage is still showing £1.49.

I don't understand. Am I missing something?

Top offer, I was after a 25 blank dual layer dvds and had a 2tb hd I didn't really need in my basket for the last week just to get the free delivery. So you've me saved my £95 cheers :)

People have always complained about ebuyer and many others have no problems. I think if you have one bad experience you steer clear. I remember getting a SCSI DVD reader from dabs for the best part of £100 that was broken and blatantly used - took about 3 months to get a refund even although they admitted liability straight away. That was over 10 years ago and I still wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Unless you are on the correct forums for the free delivery then Scan + Aria treat you as a second class customer, so I vote with my wallet on that policy which is not hard because their prices are not competitive without the free delivery.

Bought a TV off Ebuyer for my Dad.
Arrived next day by Parcelforce at 8am.
This free delivery weekend is excellent for small items like CPU fans, earphones, cables etc
Heat added.

Can't agree with comment by Slateman about Scan.
Had a damaged PSU from them. They had it collected and replacement sent out quickly.
It does depend on what service you receive what what company.
Never had a problem with Aria when I got the mega cheap 2tb drive either.
Well packed and quick delivery.

I try try avoid companies with 0844 and 0871 contact numbers, Ebuyer enquiries is 10p / min, rip off.

Try 01430 433605 if you are on a free geographical numbers package.

I suspected as much! A long time ago, I ordered a Sony Pro Duo Memory stick, the High Speed stick was pictured and in the description, and they sent the cheaper, slower card.

Phoned them and tried to explain the problem, but the CS woman didn't understand what I meant. I told them they were advertising the wrong item and would have other customers complaining. All she said was, Send it back.

So, I tried asking on the forum, politely, and out of nowhere it attracted all these really rude comments, basically telling me to shut up and get lost. So if THAT is ebuyer's employees, it's no wonder I don't order from them any more. Put me off going near them ever again.
