Not a bad offer if you are after a pair of glasses, there are 10% off codes available but say you want to spend £60 (possibly on one of the free second pair offers they do as well) you could pay £35 + £5 voucher for 2 pair of glasses + any extras you want which isn't bad and actually beats 10% off (where you would save £6 - here you save £20).

I remember going to the opticians when I was younger, it wasn't an unpleasant experience but it did always consist of two parts, the bit where I got my eyes tested, then the bit where I argued with my mum because I wanted the more expensive glasses and not the NHS prescription ones, mainly because, lets face it, they were all pretty bad. I aimed to leave looking like Buddy Holly but ended up looking more like Jack Duckworth

It is with these scorned memories that I am happy to bring your attention to this wonderful deal, only £5 for a £25 voucher towards ANY of the glasses on glasses direct. This means that with your voucher you can get 2 pairs from £19 OR a pair of designer glasses plus a free normal pair from £49 on designer frames such as DKNY, Emporio Armani, Gucci and more. And this also INCLUDES the deals whereby you get a second pair of normal specs for FREE (see here for details) on prescription orders. Glasses Direct is the UK's largest direct seller of prescription glasses its simple and easy to do, all you have to do is have an up to date prescription and enter it in after you have chosen your specs. With no premises or expensive eye testing equipment to pay for, they pass on the savings directly to you. £30 million that's how much they estimate so far has been saved by the bespectacled British public. Things are looking good.

We think you'll agree this is a brilliant Groupon. 80% off can't be bad. It's a rare treat to sample the delights of the UK's best glasses collection, you can even use this towards prescription sunglasses for that Great British summer (when it gets here). We know you're very attached to the old things, but we think it's time to bin your Deirdre Rasheed shockers and get yourself over to glassesdirect.co.uk.

This is how it works:

* - Buy the deal
* - Voucher activates Friday 11th June 2010 at 2pm
* - To redeem your voucher go to: http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/
* - Start shopping, when you reach the 'Basket' section enter your code into the 'Discount code' section.

"If you're new to ordering glasses online, just go for it, you will not regret it."

"I am over the moon with the glasses. They came with a spare pair and I opted for sunglasses. I am a contact lense wearer and the optition allowed me to have a plain pair of lenses in them. So I could wear them with my contact lenses. Over all i would definately use them again."

Again, considering the debacle over on MSE for the Sunglasses purchasing vouchers from x to give to y is far too bloody dodgy imho.
This is new to me. I have just registered, do I now need to wait until the 11th and then log on and the voucher will be there? Can I still go through TCB?
A different deal, but with Glasses Direct from Groupon is now back... pay £19 for a £39 voucher to spend at Glasses Direct, on anything you want... worth up to 2 pairs of glasses!
