Don't do it !!! They will just stick the prices up overnight like the 'deal' with sunglasses-shop.
I'm still waiting for a refund for that 'deal' or should that read SCAM !!!

unlessit's a coffee voucherm or a wgamamas deal I'm not giving mycitydeals my money, the sunglasses deal has been a shambles!

its not scam... The prices for the glasses was restored back and mycity deals apologised..

The prices weren't restored properly and this only happened because of the backlash against MCD and MSE site as they pushed the deal to their email subscribers as they were getting £6 per purchase via an affiliate link.

steer clear of this company - they may sell the vouchers in good faith however the companies they use are rogues and will load the price so your 'discount' is actually very minimal !!

As it’s an eVoucher can it be used immediately? The prices for the watches seem okay at the moment.

Once the deal has received its threshold of buyers then they issue e-vouchers. I would save a screen shot of the watch your interested in buying. That way you have prove of the price in case they try and bump the price up after the vouchers are issued.

The vouchers don't usualy activate until 48 hours after the deal finishes.

Worth a bit of research though as I was looking at a watch for about £70 which would cost me £25 using this voucher. The same watch was avaialbe from Amazon for £30, so still cheaper but not a the huge saving it first appeared to be.

In MCD's defence I did purchase a similar watch voucher for a different store a week ago and the worked really well as it could be spend on any brand on the site so I got a watch I actually wanted at a brilliant price (prices did not increase once voucher was issued).

Huge con if it were genuine you could use the voucher on any brand not just the few crappy ones that they list Levis make jeans not watches Triumph make motorbikes not watches etc etc
#14
This is how it works:
• - Buy the deal
• - We email you the voucher after the deal ends
• - Voucher activates on Tuesday 25th May 2010 at 12pm

How can it be a con when they clearly tell you which brands are eligible for this deal!
If you look tomorrow and the prices have increased or the voucher is only valid for watches over a £100 or something then I would class that as a con.

Just had a quick look and I cant see one watch here thats worth the money.

If someone tells you something is worth £100 doesnt mean its worth £100!

I ordered two as presents and the prices today were the same as yesterday.
TopCashBack has tracked at £6.42 for the MyCityDeal purchase and also for the phone purchases which means both watches together in total come to £20 delivered.
They were both £59 which is the going rate according to Google Products.

I guess they were using this as a marketing scheme!
