Voted hot, why people are saying free out of the taps god knows. This is an ideal present for people caught in the floods or who are stupid enough to live on flood plains.
#21
why so many cold waters . . . ?
#22
I buy bottled water once every few weeks (usually the cheapest pack of 6 in Lidl) just to have the bottles to refill and take to work. I'd buy the empty bottles if I could! Don't need the overpriced water inside.

woo yea,if my house had been flooded and all the contents ruined i'd be over the moon at the thought of some muppet arriving with a 26p bottle of water , i'd prob need something stronger and the muppet would need the fire brigade to remove the bottle from somewhere painful.
#25
NICE, tastes better than the crud that comes out of the taps any day!!
#26
yum... i love water.. i just couldn't live without it.
#27
Really laughing here at the free water comments :-D

I love the taste of the tap water here, hate going abroad and having to drink bottled, it always tastes yuck :p

Urm, you can buy plenty of different sorts of plastic and metal containers that you could wash out and reuse. In fact that is probably more healthy than reusing cheaply manufactured plastic bottles that probably give you cancer. :p

Not that old urban myth again!

There is only a finite amount of water on the earth, so any water you drink has been through a lot more than 7 people before you!

Anything marked 'spring water' comes from a tap anyway. I could bottle the water out of my tap and sell it if there were enough mugs (and there are) to buy it. "Linlithgow Spring" anyone?
#32
I'd rather drink bottled water than the stuff that comes out of my taps at home. Its all cloudy. Me thinks it the fluoride. HOT!

The following are added to tap water:

Liquified chlorine
Fluorosilicic acid
Aluminium sulphate
Calcium hydroxide
Sodium silicofluoride

Filters like Brita filters don't get rid of it all.

So, if you are intolerant to any of those or don't like the taste then bottled is useful. Of course some bottled water is bottled tap water anyway so be careful which you choose.

Then there is crypto spiridium and the other nasty stuff that occasionally affects the taps. And the fact that much water is delivered through victorian pipework and plumbing.

And hard water minerals.

Most homes are still on standard water rates not metered, so water costs the same regardless of how much you use. This is DIFFERENT from electric and gas which is metered.

Do the deep thinkers need any more reasons? Because there are many.

Anyway, seems a good prcie. Wouldn't bother myself but should be hot.

You do all realise that there are less chemicals in tap water and all the recent studies suggest tap water is much better for you to drink than the bottled stuff?

I can't understand buying bottled water at all, its ridiculous.

Does depend which bottled water you buy.

But don't worry, if your tap water does poison you, then you can claim compensation:

Dunno where you live but with my water rates it'd work out cheaper for me to buy this stuff all the time rather than use Wessex Water :whistling:

bottled water is only good if you are going camping or going somewhere without an accesible water supply, otherwise just use the tap. North-west water tastes good, no complaints here and we arent metered, we pay a flat fee per day. Those people that buy evian water and stuff in 500ml bottles need shooting. Thinking they are healthy! How about get some tap water and take a multivitamin tablet each day instead.

Is this place a magnet for wierdos?
I don't know how some of you can type you're so far up your own arses.

Water has different tastes.
My mum's tap water is quite nice.
Mine is minging - even when filtered.
So I buy water.
Usually around 80p for 5 litres, we get through around 5 a week, and because it tastes really, really nice we all drink loads more than we would out of the tap, so we're healthier.

So stop sitting there with your jowls wobbling with incredulity at the crazy world we live in where people buy water in bottles.

Reminds me of Peckham Springs

Wooo 5 whole litres of water from a mysteriously pristine spring you've never heard of.

Anyway since its on the related subject may make you think, may make you laugh http://www.cagle.com/working/080226/greenberg21.jpg
