Fully Synthetic Oil 5L 5W40 was £20

Fully Synthetic Oil 5L Ford 5W30 was £22

To find out what oil you need, text 'OIL' and your vehicle registration number to 87103 and we will reply with the engine oil recommendation. A nominal charge of 25p plus your standard network charge will apply. Alternatively quite easy to go onto Castrol , europarts, Halfords web site and find out for free the grade you require

COLD for the text charge.

TBF the charge is only for those who don't know what oil they want/need to use, all the specs are in the description. Price is good imho.

Not compulsory to use that service, but if your unsure about the oil you want 25p text charge is a small price to pay for to ensure you buy the correct oil, Alternatively quite easy to go onto Castrol , europarts, Halfords web site and find out for free the grade you require . Entirely your choice and entirely optional

Good price. I bought some 10w40 from Asda the other day so just missed out on this deal (well, rollback)

Anyone know who makes this for Asda? I assume they don't have their own refinery. Shame they don't do a 5W50.
#12
No idea, however my turbo diesel has been running on Asda fully synthetic for years.

I got some yesterday and bottom of bottle said Tetrosyl, also known as Carlube.

Had a mare with buying this via online grocery shopping. They substituted 10l for 4l charging me £26! 3 calls to customer services to sort a partial refund. Go and get it instore. Asda pickers have a combined iq of 59.

Thanks for the heads-up, just as my oil light came on.

BTW, the Vauxhall variety meets BMW LL04 (better than LL01 in case you were wondering), the others don't mention meeting any BMW LL ratings.

Try putting your Reg number into the Halfords Oil Checker page to identify grade needed , then buy from Asda

You know the oil light is the last step before engine failure right? Its not liek a fuel light!

NEVER wait that long , dont even let it go down by 50%
