  Yeah they're good for that too - I just prefer them to the normal cables anyway because they are lighter weight and easier to roll up and store (I like to carry one around in my laptop bag).
  
  The build quality seems good on them (as much as it can be for a cable). Comes with the little plastic covers on the end to protect the connectors.

  Cheers Thanks, ordered, these are good when I want to sit on my couch which is 3 metres from the TV and connect my laptop up to TV to watch stuff on the big screen, they also sell a 3m one for £2.50 if the 5M one is too long.

  heh, open wikipedia, find 1.4 version of HDMI and read through carefully. Doesn`t matter if its flat, rounded, blond or bold:D 1.4 supports 3D!! All versions and shapes:)
