£577 for Hooters Hotel. It's in a good location but it isn't the best hotel by any stretch of the imagination. If money is at a stretch and this looks a good deal for you, stay at the Luxor. Great hotel, with a nice complex inside that include McDonalds and Starbucks. Think they removed their IMAX cinema now? That would run you £626. There's also the Excalibur at £602 but I've never stayed there.

Just don't book Circus Circus or the Stratosphere. They were so far out of the main bit of town, it'd ruin your trip.

I've been there in February, March, May, June, September, November and it has never been cold for us. NEVER. Don't go May - July though, it's exhausting to walk in but great to lay by the pool!

Been to Vegas many times, including Feb and November, when,at times,a jacket was needed. So anyone who thinks the desert doesn't get cold, hasn't been.Almost any hotel would do,your in Vegas, and the rooms are cleaner than what you get in the UK.Location is down to preference,we have stayed at Mandalay Bay at the very south of the strip, and the Strat at the other end.We have even stayed off strip at the Orleans, and for whatever reason this is still one of my favourite hotels of choice.Ballys is IMO the best budget mid- strip hotel for location.
What no-one seems to have mentioned though is that 5 days is never enough time in Las Vegas.

Don't stay at Circus Circus, Riviera, Stratosphere or Hooters - if you want to do a more budget hotel, Ballys is a great option, or Luxor/Excalibur for themed.

Indeed, their check in times are ridiculous. Best hotel on the strip though. Stayed there twice and at the Wynn twice. Prefer the Wynn's luxury but it's a total trek back up to all the action.

Oh and 5 days not enough in Vegas?! I disagree! Any longer and you'll melt.

    are u serious?

The cheapest return flight for example in November is around 540 GBP and if you want a direct flight you have to pay 685 GBP. Here you get a direct flight and a hotel from 577 GBP

For £591 I'd stay in Imperial Palace, hotel isn't great to be honest (I'm not really selling this well), BUT it is in the best place on the strip. I stayed here last year after a friend booked it and I was worried sick after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, but actually it was fine and what you have to remember with Vegas is that you are hardly in your hotel. Imperial Palace is right in the middle of the strip and also has inside it Hash House a Go Go (if you have ever watched Man versus Food then this place will be familiar).

Just accept if you stay here the Imperial Palace doesn't have much going for it really, e.g. no entertainment. The dealers in the casino are lookalikes of famous people, but that's it and the place reeks of smoke (but the hotel rooms were fine).

Oh and I went in October and it was very hot, although the South Rim at the Canyon was very, very cold.

Not much of a deal, I can normally scare up 10 nights for between £600-£700 at a more central hotel.
