Voted hot for being the most obscure deal I can recall - you deserve some sort of gong for finding this! MIght buy some to nibble while I'm watching 'Life in Cold Blood' on Monday night :-D

Just noted the website name 'Frogs on Ice' sounds like a potential new series for ITV. Unlike 'Dancing on Ice' this is one I would definitely tune into..
#16
My Leopard Gecko loves these! oh and crickets and waxworms!
#17
hope mother-in-law enjoys them......... used an anonymous email address.......

her tongue is long enough to catch them in mid-flight
#18
wow, they have 1000 brown adult size crickets for 8 quid plus vat. could be good for a house party
#19
Anyone ordered from these guys before ? £12 for 100 medium locusts isn't too bad. I usually order from http://www.rickslivefood.co.uk/shop.html and pay £10.80, but they've now started adding a £2 postage charge which makes them slightly more expensive. Having said that, Rick's food always arrives alive, unlike some others I've tried !
My bearded dragons get through a fair few each week so always looking for cheaper suppliers.
#20
Not in the market for this item......probably a great find ....but how would i know?
#21
Shame it's not crickets on offer, or I'd have got some for my Chili Rose tarantula. Voted hot all the same.

Here she is :)

:w00t: LOL! That's an excellent idea, I think I'll do the same for my friend’s birthday coming up who is absolutely terrified of Locusts and the like. Good way to lose friends? I'm always looking for new ways! Voted hot
#24
I say we all buy them and let them loose at the same time...

Think plague of biblical proportions!

Taking you seriously; sadly UK temperatures are too low for locust breeding.
#27
are they for fishing or do you seriously EAT them??
#28
i buy them bulk to actually eat.
#29
I think they're more for feeding other, larger, animals. Like if you have a skink, which we used to have in my school, you'd probably get some of these and throw 'em in the box :D

Then watch, or not :whistling:

But yea Daytrader's onto something, there good when thrown in a salad.

I might actually get some of these to throw into a bucket of chicken wings and let the little cousins feast on it.

wouldn't the spider eat the goldfish?

On a serious note - I find their stuff ok - the insects are good and healthy and they are one of the cheapest. The only thing that is on a downside is when you get a bag of crickets, they are in a bag with scrumpled up newspaper so it is a nightmare when you are emptying it.
I mainly use www.livefood.co.uk for my stuff as the bags just contain egg carton pieces in, so they are a lot easier to sort out.
The adult locusts do luck pretty scary as they turn pink and have big wings - eek!
#35
Are they actually alive when you get them?!

How do they stay alive?

this is the idea.. that they stay alive long enough for your pet to eat them alive. many animals won't actually touch prey that isn't moving?
insects are quite hardy.

yes, first thing i thought was practical jokes but maybe using live animals of any sort ain't cool any more. it could create quite a stir. you can buy boxes of ladbirds too.. better for valentines day :)
edit: ladybirds not ladbirds
