From what I understand from the feedback all of the knifes are serrated, so no good as Chef knifes, but good for bread, etc.

The only serrated blades are on the bread knife and the tiny knife, which come in very handy. The other three are just sharp knives.

Buy these 2 knives for a total of about £5-6 and I'd guarantee they'd be better than this Argos block set.
I actually use these more than a Global knife I have as they're a lot sharper even after about 2 years daily usage.
Ok on Amazon you have to pay shipping, but have a look at your local kitchen supplies shop and they are usually about £3 each which is great value.

I agree :)

I hate cheap knife sets, they will cause you more grief than they are worth. Better luck next deal :p

I agree with most coments that this is prob a rubbish knife set lol
But i dont agree with jon1000jon, if this knife set was advertised as RRP £20 Now 75% OFF!
would that make it a good deal jon1000jon?
No, cos it still the same s**t knives made to look like a good deal lol
A good deal to me is a good price for a good item weather its hugely discounted or not!

It would make it a deal but not a good one, they sell s**t knives in home bargains and other junk shops for cheaper. If you want to pay £5 for a knive set and block then thats fine but they will be a load of rubbish.
