  Can be... we have 1 knife left out of the lot... the blades would probably last forever but the handles are poor, for £3.49 you get what you pay for though so don't expect these to last you longer than a year! Our starting falling to bits after a couple of months...

  To be honest i personally aint much of a cook so if i get a year out of them thats a bargain tbh. I appreciate a lot of folk wouldn't touch these and go for a professional set but they suit my very very basic needs.

  These'll do. I ain't no Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen (well, I do the swearing bit), so these will get minimal usage and will probably outlive me.

  If you have a friend with a wholesaler card most wholesalers sell professional kitchen knives for around £12 each, usually including a 15 year guarantee for professional use = last a lifetime for domestic.

  ive had the same broom for over 20 years....ive only replaced the handle three times and the head twice! lol
