Dont know but reckon the 50micron are the 'wafer-thin' style that while useful for archive filing, aren't up to much for any re-use filing - found that to my cost with last batch of 'cheapo' ones - ie as thin as cellophane and quite a challenge to get into at all, and only with a an A4 sheet of paper inside does it have any real substance/shape. Certainly an issue to consider when buying such pockets, but otherwise brilliant price, let alone delivered, as these pockets have shot up in price recent years.

I ordered some of these when a mod posted it as a deal recently though it was pulled in 2 minutes.{eek smiley} Ignore the reviewer who says " the pollypockets are really strong and suitable to hold up to 50 pieces of paper" because they don't - not per each pocket! But they are quite ok for filing a few sheets, eg car insurance docs or whatever. I've just put 16 sheets of A4 in to one with no problems. The only place I've seen them cheaper is 100 for £1 in Asda but I have no idea of the quality.
