The more I see about these people the more suspect it looks
#2
why??
#3
I thought the same when i saw the sony laptop and did a bit investigating.
They are the biggest e-commerce company in France i believe and this is thier first venture into the UK.
google cdiscount+uk and theres quite a few sites reporting on their UK launch.
I've placed a few orders with them and have recieved the items without a problem. I even tried their 3discount payment option and like stated they only took 1/3 of the payment with the other 2 payments being collected 1 month and 2 months later.
#4
reviewz is correct, good post btw! They are big in Europe and it is their first time in the UK. I think they will be a good online retailer overhere to compete with the likes of Amazon and others, good for the consumer!
#5
i was about to ask about their repputation
#6
So when I look at their homepage I see a deal of the day for a CK suit reduced from £599 down to £199. Does this mean that with the 50% cashback I would get it for £100 after receiving the cashback at the end of Jan?

I'm asking, because once you add it to your basket, there's no mention of any cashback from then on.

I don't get it, do you have to do anything to qualify for cashback. If not, why don't they just cut the original prices?
#8
Because the cashback is in the form of a store credit so they get repeat business from you. The "cashback" deal is only of use if there is something else you will come and buy at the end of the month.

Ah, so you don't get cash back - seems a bit naughty advertising - should be credit back.
#10
Yeah the cashback is store credit, I guess to tie you in, but hopefully they will stick around and the prices look good even without the cashback. Just bought some running kit. Thanks OP.
#11
Well I've added stuff adding up to £180....some really good stuff....but I'm scared to place the order! Has anyone returned things to them?? Also, are prices always this low or is it just for the sale? The last bit is important as I don't want to come back in January to spend my cashback and find everything has tripled in price!
#12
Like some other offers of recent, I would personally look at the price on the site, decide if I'm happy to pay it & then if the creditback comes off treat it as a bonus.
#13
Do you think that the cashback applies on the men's watches? if they do, its a STEAL!!!!!!
#14
Hot, £30 for a pair of Firetrap jeans and potentially £15 to spend there again in February :)

couldnt agree with you more!

this company has been heavily promoting / discounting and we dont even know who they are! they are new to the scene not even established!

maybe its just me being apprehensive but . . . .

iv a funny feeling this company may 'fold' before any cashback is honoured, or the cashback will be in credit that you have to use with them only.

not strictly cashback but a credit note!
#16
Well I wouldn't use them again as they totally messed up my order only last week. Sent the wrong items and weren't at all helpful when speaking to them on the phone.

Avoid.

That's been cleared up by now  It's just a question of them still being around when the cashback is paid out that matters.
#18
If you use your cashback credit to buy something which also has cashback, do you still get the new cashback?

This company is a massive concern throughout Europe so I wouldnt worry to much about them folding before cashbacks are honoured... Just do a search for CDISCOUNT or the parent company name CASINO. I ordered from them last week using the 3 monthly payments, got item and all went through well, will defo use again.

does this apply to wine? 50% back?

£75 minimum spend, before P+P.
#25
You need 75 pounds min order.

Thanks to the OP - this is hot - very good prices all round including jeans. Heat and rep added.
#26
cheers just noticed there is a minimum spend

placed an order just have to wait and see the outcome!
banned#27
Just ordered, fingers crossed all goes ok! btw don't forget your free wine! (see vouchers)
banned#28
Are the prices shown on the site the half price or will 50% of the price further be credited to your account
#29
so is it a good idea to build a basket of what u want then just go through with half of it, then wait for cashback before buying the rest?

also i can see these prices going up, effectively voiding the credit. wish it was just plain cashback.

Thats your problem if you can't be bothered to do a simple google search. As others have already said, its a huge european retailer.
#31
this is too good to be true! but I do believe them anyway!

Hi,

I ordered a Tom Tom Sat Nav earlier in the week. Payment over 3 month interest free.

1 payment taken fine and the item arrived within 2 days of order.

Just ordered some Jeans, T-Shirt and Watch.

Like everyone has said they are a huge company elsewhere in Europe and for any doubters, order on the 3 x interest free payments, that way only a third of the order is paid upfront and if the company should fold they cannot then take the remaining 2 payments can they.
#33
I like the idea of the Clavin Klien suit, but I reckon with patience one could pick one, or similar, up from TK Maxx in the red label section much cheaper than a oner.

Of course they can take the payments. You have entered into a contract and that must be fulfilled.
#35
I ordered a laptop before with £50 cashback and used the 3 thing payment scheme, its been delivered.

Looks good so far but I'm wondering does anybody know when I will be credited with the £50 on my account and where can you check? Thanks.
#36
they are selling Sanyo CE32LD33-B 32" HD Ready Digital LCD TV for £299.99, is that a good deal? I quite like their 3 monthly payment installments.

I'm curious about that too... They are under Meanswear>>Accessories, so you'd assume so?

Edit: Just signed up for a Guess watch, 40% off, spread over 3 payments. Fingers crossed that it is eligible for the cash back!

Don't forget the FREE-WINE promotion code for the free bouteille de vin rouge!

Thanks reviewz!

anyone know about the split payments over 3 months?

does this count as a credit agreement in terms of the consumer credit act?

What I'm really asking is - would doing this appear on your credit file/affect your credit score?
#40
Hopefully this works, I just ordered nearly £600 worth of cloths and would be pretty disappointed if the £300 odd cash back was not honoured.

It would have been great of them to credit the accounts instantly with a timer to spend the credit after the 1st feb. that way you would at least be somewhat comforted in the knowledge that it was noted.
