My local offers 50% off everything (collection only) if you work for the NHS / Police / Fire - on production of ID cards proof of employment. Don't know if this is nationwide call your local branch and find out. Unfortunately this is in-store only I believe.

Give them a call save some money and have a great weekend.

Am I the only person who finds this insulting.

Are there not other people worthy of a 50% discount too?

What do you smoke?

It nowhere near the best take away pizza out there, has nice toppings but overpriced and low quality.

Would it not be better placed to offer the discount to those off work stuck relying on NHS services, people on disability benefits, single parents who cannot work due to lousy childcare provision etc?

If people complain that the richer get richer and the poorer get poorer - and poorer people in the UK pay a higher percentage of their income in tax - then offering freebies to those in jobs for life is not really going to help.

Domino's has always had weird preferences - as one of its original directors used to fund people to stand outside abortion clinics to shout abuse at those going in for treatment.

#19
Low quality? You joking?

I used to work at Domino's, and they use then freshest ingredients, along with FRESH dough.... not this frozen base **** that Pizza Hut use!

some people get Xmas bonuses and company cars and so on...
oh and not everyone that works for the NHS is rich, porters, cleaners, Catering assistants all pretty much on minimum wage.

If you think the NHS is comprised entirely of hospitals (with a possible 'pharmacies' on the side), then...

50% Discount @ Dominos (NHS/Police/Fire Only)

I bet the Police will love this..eating a nice hot pizza in their high powered patrol cars, waiting for motorists with a tail light blown or a couple of miles over the speed limit, while there are stabbings going on everywhere.
#25
I love workin for the NHS, just to annoy those who might need it to save their lives, cause they are jealous we get 1/2 off a pizza!~!
#26
Couldn't agree more Long Dong. Now I know why I always see them stuffing their faces late at night whilst granny round the corner is getting robbed. Only time I ever see them.

I do an administraion job in the NHS and defo don't get help in buying a house...lol and the money is **** compared to the Government jobs i.e inland revenue, customs & excise.

When people say NHS they seem to presume people are doctors higher paid people as they are tons of lower paid people and getting a discount is decent for some of the **** you put up with from the public as most people are nice but you get the odd idiot as with most jobs

You certainly arent. Another typical case of public sector workers being seen as "key"(fail to see how they are any more key than the rest of us to be honest) and therefore getting a never ending list of perks.

That said, not individual staff members fault, and clearly a hot deal for them, so voted hot. Although I do agree with what someone said above that they arent the best - better than standalone pizza shops, but no pizza hut IMHO.
#29
COOL!

My wife works for the NHS and there is a Dominos a few minutes away that we normally goto.

They do two 15" pizzas for £9.99 so a bargain at £4.98 lol
#30
Great deal. I'm eligble myself but why ???? Give the difference to hospitals , health groups , neighbourhood watch schemes , victim support etc
#31
MEANT AS A JOKE and i know its key workers who get the help.

well...we could all go on the dole and you would have to subsidize our benefits even more :)
or they could stop giving us subsidies perks and pay us more? Lots of organizations give staff members benefits/perks it's a recruitment and retainment incentive.
If you work on trains buses do you get free transport? shall i get wound up and bitter about that?
Or the fat cats that get big bonus'
Or the companies that pay for buisness lunches?
Or the companies that pay for their staff to have a big xmas do
Or the buisness people that get company cars?

It's swings and roundabouts

Sorry, I forgot that EVERY PRIVATE SECTOR WORKER gets a company car and a big fat bonus, or business lunches.

Also forgot how many of us private sector workers get a house subsidised for us also.

You are dead right, I retract my point.

I didn't say everyone. I'm just pointing out that lots of organisations offer perks. Like i said it's a recruitment and retainment incentive. the cost of these perks is far less than if they were to pay us what it was worth on top.

Knowing a lot of people who work in both private and public sector, I would absolutely defy you to tell me that public sector workers do not get market rate.

If you insist it isnt, fair enough - but in that case explain why public sector employee supply way outstrips demand in almost every area.

I have no problem with public sector workers - they work hard and go where the money is. What I do have an issue with is when they complain about being worse off than equivalent private sector workers. The vast majority are equal on pay, and substantially better off on non-salary benefits.
