My first post, hope it's a good one!!, Flamingoland, near pickering, north yorkshire are doing half price season tickets.

The season tickets are £175 for a family of 4 or £50 each, this is unlimited entry from 20th march to 31st oct 2010.

This is the 2nd year this season pass has been issued, normal entry fees are usually about £22 per person per visit.

The place is a disgrace, was horrified at the conditions the Polar Bears were kept in... they spent all their time "pacing" which is sad to see, such a beautiful beast suffering like that!

Do they still have Polar Bears?
Yeah! I thought global warming had sorted them out.;-):-D
No, mandy the polar bear died a few years ago, so no more bears, they have pretty much everything else though and to be fair to the place, it has really been improved over the last few years and looks alot better,
Been to FP 4 times over last 2 years, and it is great animals are fit and well, rides are great, and nice and clean place-plus not many chavs.
When i first went to FL about 10 years ago it was a right dump, went again 2 years ago and its like a different place its fantastic what they have done, think its a great day out and they have some really good rides and lots for the toddlers to do as well.

You want to edit the title m8, put £50 each or £175 for family & use this link http://www.flamingolandtickets.com/Season.aspx
Yeah Deanos I was told by a local that it had been a dump, but they put some serious money in a few years ago- great place.
We had a season ticket for 2009 (£150 for a family one). Went quite a few times and I think it's fantastic. Definitely worth £175 for a family pass if you can go 3 or 4 times a year. Heat added
It started improving when the owner inherited it from his Dad , he's only about 32 years old so probably knows what people want nowadays, he pretty much has it spot on IMO
I must say we had a family pass in 2009 and we only paid £130 which we bought in January or February so I am going to leave it for now as I think they are testing the water with this price. I wouldnt like to part with £175 right now given that you still have 4 months to wait until you can even use it. In relation to Flamingoland itself, it has been totally overhauled in recent years and is clean, modern and the kids love it, I only wish Pleasure Island at Cleethorpes would follow suit, now that place is a dump and full of Chavs!!
Got a family season ticket last year and will be getting another this year.

Really care for the animals and the rides such as Velocity (like Rita but better, it's motorbikes) and Cliffhanger are awesome. They get new rides every year and pump the profit back in, unlike Alton Towers who only care about profit for the owners.

Great park, great rides (without the 2 hour queues), great people, great bars (the Coach House is the best with good selection of beers):whistling:

Polar bears? All zoo's were the same at that time, now it's more of a Busch Gardens feel (well as near as you could get in Yorkshire)

I'm not going to chance waiting as I would be gutted If I had to pay £300 or more after Dec 31st.

Tempted, but usually get the alton towers family pass. FL is considerably closer to home though :)
