Aren't Groupon deals frequently abused by unscrupulous merchants who change their prices to be higher when the deals go live? If so, beware.

Yep, never using Groupon again. Remember the IPhone scam?

Hadn't heard about the iPhone scam! So dodgy! I think our posts have definitely turned this deal subzero - further up the forum is another Groupon post without this info, that's heat-positive :p

You just have to research and not dive in, not aware of iPhone scam (will google). Every deal I've looked at has had a saving but often not the promised amount, but thn that will be because the vendor will never sell at "rrp".

The real disappointment is groupon themselves as when challenged on there promotion the simply ignore correspondence.

Some groupon vouchers are good deals. Got my miss us a hair dresser deal at a top salon for £30, whichnis at least half the price that she pays at even our local salon

Errr maybe i'm wrong .... but wasn't that a completely different retailer - Groupola not Groupon ?http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/groupola-iphone-deal-for-99/712078

wasnt the iphone thing groupola and not groupon ?

Looks like a reasonable deal to me. For a change, you can use the voucher towards P&P. I reckon the 3 for 2's will disappear, or not be valid with the voucher. But even if they charge full price, it seems a good discount.

We did that and it worked out pretty well. Had to travel a bit further than normal but great price! I guess you really have to read the fine print with groupon and if it sounds to good to be true than it must be.

Some of them are a load of rubbish but thats only because there nothing im interested in.
There was a good one yesterday for the Big Wheel in Manchester. £5 instead of £15 which for me was ideal as the missus has said to me she wants to have a go and thought this was the perfect oppourtunity to have a go.

Many thanks to Crapweasel and Davey_Cole for highjacking the thread with nonsense. Its somewhat suprising people keep posting on this site with the type of negativity and incorrect information that some people post.

Thanks to those of you who made rational comments including correcting the nonsense!

I still think its a good deal & so do 1,705 other people who have already purchased!

Sounds like a good deal to me, kodak gallery also used to be a great quality printing company

I just placed an order for £35 yesterday and then this deal appears. Grrr, still bought a voucher but I wouldn't count on it for a christmas delievery.

It does say not valid with any other offer so I wouldn't expect the 3 for 2 or any other codes to work.

Well I voted hot. We've done lots with the Groupon deals (sailing lesson, boat trip, farm visit) and they've all come through and all been a good saving.

I just got my calendars. Excellent quality, excellent value too.

And just in time for Christmas presents.
