It states it as £8 in the promo window, yet for some reason billing at £7.50.

800 for an extra £1.50 on the already good £6 for 3 months is an absolute bargain.
#2
Good deal.Buy two and effectively get 6 months LIVE for the cheapest rate going of £6 per 3 months, and class the 1600 points as £3, making the new COD map pack £3 with 400 points left over.

i cant see this on the dashboard?

i cant see this on the dashboard?

Me neither ..........

Having looked further (signed into old gamertag) it cause its only for silver members and therefore can only be a single item purchase too. Pretty useless for most of us. Please edit OP to state for Non-existing gold memebers only, as its not for everyone as OP falsely stated.

This deal, the 2 months for £2, and 12 months for £24 deal are constantly rotating on the 360 dashboard every few days for silver members. I do not understand why they keep getting posted.

Still waiting for my points as well. But no matter where I look after I've brought the deal. There is no sign of points being added. But I do have gold though.

your points will be credited in 4 weeks time that's what I have been told by the Xbox customer services . He said people usually order and once they got the points they cancel the membership so this is the rule.you can call to conform it iy you wants.02073659792

Speaking of these dashboard deals, I took up the month for £1 plus 2 free games back deal in February. Never did receive any kind of code for the games.

Who do I chase up for them?

I took this offer up yesterday (I work away 8 months of the year so Live is generally useless for me). It went through as £7.50.

Those waiting for points, it clearly says on the promo screen you will get the points within 8 weeks, not immediately.
#15
Wonder if the PS3 boys will come in and say out network is free this time, hehe...:D
#16
I did this for my lad yesterday and yes I had read about not getting the points immediately but what concerned me is a) its £7.50 and not £8 and b) when you actually go to purchase there was no mention wahtsoever of the 800msp...

It won't be free when someone books a 2 week holiday to Germany, using your card. I've used your network, and honestly I was not impressed. At least; I wasn't so blown away with the free service, that I'd forgive a major, and dangerous, cock up on Sony's part, just because I was allowed to use the service free of charge.

To be fair thats illegal to do under several acts to protect people like the sale of good acts for instance they cannot sell you something then hold it back. Then again this is MS.. If you demand them on the phone they will credit them straight away.

I'm no fanboy, I've got nearly every console ever released.

Just stating fact X)

it's in the spotlight section.

Can you cancel this from the dash board or do you have to phone them up to cancel?
Also do they keep your credit card details on file even if you do cancel?

Should never have happened. Sony are complete idiots when it comes to implementing a safe an coherent online space. They have bags of money and have had bags of time to create something to truly rival Xbox Live. They have been slow, arrogant and lazy.

With the big hack, consumer confidence will be severely damaged. Plus the revenue loss to developers will impact their third party connections.

Sorry for the rant - that's all I'm gonna say. I just can't stand Sony fanboy's defending such and arrogant company that just lost 100 million people's personal details. Oh and then took 9 days to tell everyone.

I'm quite happy to pay for things that work. The PS3 network might be free but it's a complete shambles when it comes to gaming/social features, stability and most importantly security.

I do however wish Microsoft would instead of tempting customers in with offers, they would give those offers to Gold Members ONLY, to create a 'grass-is-greener' environment.

+1

They need to get hammered by the relevant authorities, this is a massive breach of the data protection act. If this was Microsoft, people would be going mental.
