Worth trying, nothing to lose if it doesn't work, and a bonus if it does!

IVS is one of the best you can get.

I wouldn't go for one of these if your after a screen protector

If you check reviews and pictures on it you get a horrible "orange peel" look to your iPhone after and it becomes very sticky

A Power Support Crystal is the way to go if you want it to look as if there is nothing on the phone
#10
Voted hot - has provided good protection for an iPhone and and iPod. Just bought one for the iPad!

If your looking to protect the back of your gadget then get one if your going to use it as screen protector...DON'T get one they have a horrible rubbery tacky feel to them. Where as normal screen protectors like the mention power support crystal or anti-fingerprint are MUCH MUCH MUCH better!

I've tried them all so trust me =]

I've used 3 sets of invisible shields for my devices and I've never experienced this 'orange peel' you speak of.
In fact, I bought a fourth one today - the leather skin along with invisible shield for the iTouch.
Came to £19 - totally forgot Quidco/TCB
#13
no orange peel here had one on 2g iphone and 3gs iphone
#14
invisible shields are great for the back of phones etc... brilliant
but they are appauling screen protectors so leave that side of things off. :)

they are also a pig to apply, so make sure you have patience. :)
#15
Get the BodyGuardz protectors over these, none of that "orange peel" effect with them, + the usual lifetime warranty.

Something to note with these though, if you keep your phone in your jeans pocket, it will turn blue very quickly! Its ok if you have a black iphone, sadly i have a white one :(

I think people are misunderstanding each other or not realising. If you have not bought a Zagg invisible shield, you should try it once because what people are describing is not a defect but the nature of the product.

This Orange peel effect or eggshell look is referring to the texture of the shields, if you hold it against light you can see it is not perfectly flat its a bit like a egg shell or orange peel surface texture.

I have no problem with it, I have it for all my portables, and love it!

here is a link review of another screen protector but shows this orange peel effect people are on about http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/power-support-crystal-film-set-for-iphone/

Repped for good post =p

havent voted either way

OK deal but the thing about these zagg shields, you get an orange peel. its not 100% invisible!
Feels very rubbery but very tough. been on my wifes iphone for months!

I prefer easi skin on my iphone cuz its very smooth but it does not last. 2-3months your edges will peel if you always put your phone in your jeans pocket. I'd still go with easi skin because the feel and its v clear. oh its much cheaper too!

Another protector I can thoroughly recommend for the iPhone is called 'bestskinsever'.
I bought one of these when I got my phone last July. I spent bout 30 mins applying it front and back and then leave it overnight for the moisture to evaporate. It comes from the states but has been fantastic. Very hard wearing and looks great if u take the time to apply it well. This will apply to all these type of protectors though. Cost the equivalent of bout £8 but has been worth every penny as my phone Is still immaculate and it gets used constantly.
#25
had an ishield for the okia 5800, apart from superb screen protection, it increased screen input lag so in the end i didn't like it. at least it is very tacky so very small chance of slippage.

peace out

Since I found the invisible shield I've never looked back, have to take your time applying it and follow the instructions to the letter (i.e leave your phone switched off for 24 hours to let it dry)

But, its definitely worth it in the end, i've dropped my phone a few times screen down and never so much as a scratch, and once its completely dried you don't even notice it really.

Best of all, if the phone gets replaced by apple due to a fault or the screen protecter actually gets damaged, peel it off, send it back and zagg send you a replacement!

Perfect ;)

Umm, how can you find the shield when it's invisible? Do you need to wear magic glasses?

where on that site does it show what orange peel effect is?

are you sure your not mistaking what orange peel effect is? its the same effect you see on poorly sprayed cars and looks exactly like, well, orange peel texture. i can only see hazy effects on that site.

i know three people with these invisible shields, as well as myself. All have orange peel and one was actually applied by zagg.
You get it on the backs as well, but its perfectly fine there. but not acceptable on the front.

its also worth knowing that it will actually make a scratched back or dull back of an iphone look shiny again.

You can see it on both of these pictures

The first one you can see it on the black part of the top phone and the second is more visable going from the camera icon to the map

I would hate to have this on my phone because i want it to look nice and sleek and the effect this has on it takes that away unlike some other shields which you wouldn't even notice

Had one of these on my last iphone and have one on my 3gs and No orange peel look here. I also have one on my BB phone and no orange peel there either. Never had it on any I have used Zagg shields before and never had a problem

these sheilds are great the best anti scratch protection without the bulk you can get in imo,

ive had invisible sheilds on my last 6 devices and didnt expereince this orange peel thing some ppl are posting about, installed all the skins myself. all my devices remained looking brand new after months of use.

do take a bit of patience to install but can be done by the novice, i had installed a full body skin on my nokia e90 (a beast in size)

for people considering check out youtube videos should help you decide.

im gonna try out the zaggskins now while its 50% off

50% ends 6am GMT.

Used to be £18 limit before any duty charges but best check HMRC website to make sure it hasn't changed.

I received an invisible Shield just last week, and no customs charges.

Also again everyone there is an orange peel look, its how these invisible shields are, you clearly like me are not bothered about it or oblivious to it.

after you peel it off the card (you can feel it) you put the solution on it so its wet and you can now see it, so you quickly apply it before the water dries and vanishes!
