Everything you get on the tastecard you can get vouchers online for free.

You can get one for free for 30 days at http://www.tastecard.co.uk/trial

I had one and never used it. Probably because, as above, you can usually get the same deals elsewhere for free.

got this free recently for a month trial and used in in holiday in. it did bring the meal from 38 to 19.
so its a good card, it depends how often you will use it.

I'm aware of the free trials and am actually on a 3 month free trial at the moment but this is for a full 12 months and the deal is for 50% off their normal asking price

You cannot get the exact same deals elsewhere for free and especially not when you want them
    - as the tastecard also includes a lot of local resteraunts and not just the pizza express / bella italia chainstores etc

At only £39.95 you would need to use it maybe 3 if not 4 times a year and it would be worth it

#Note to self, stop posting deals and start making negative votes & comments on other peoples deals instead.......if you can't beat em - join em!!! lol

had mine about 9 months now and used not once. there are so many restrictions and been to a couple of Indian Restaurants and they try to change what the deal actually is, so end up walking out.

Had it for the free trial and it was brilliant. Got £60 off a steak meal for 4, free meal at Pizza Express twice and a half price curry meal. This is a good deal if you know how it works and have good places to use it in. I am holding out for another £29.95 deal to come along.

For those who say you can get vouchers then they haven't read up how this works. While a voucher might get a 241 on a Pizza Express main course the Tastecard gives 241 on starter, main and desert. A much better deal.

Shame this deal has bombed as I could easily save £100 in a year with the trips my partner and I do to 0izza Express.

I've got one and use it at least twice a month and get an average saving of £15, I even give it to friends to use. So even at this price there's great savings to be made. Hot from me

    Blimey, get over yourself.
These are free all day long pretty much every day of the year. Not as widespread as they try to make you think.
Why pay for something that is constantly posted up on here.

"#Note to self, stop posting deals " , well, what can you say? This is your third deal in 2 years and 7 months. Yes, you go ahead and stop posting. I'm sure we will all miss you.

I am over myself but I think you need to chill out dude - The reason why I along with alot of other people refrain from posting deals on here is because of the sheer negativity from the masses!!

If these tastecards are free all day long pretty much all year round then why don't you go ahead and enlighten us all with links to these freebies??

The free trial is for new customers only and the clue is in the name - it's a 'TRIAL' whereas this was a chance to have annual membership for half the price that they charge.

Ha, I've just re-read your thread.
You are on a 3 month free trial and you are promoting to pay for a year's membership when you admit that there are free trials out there.
You haven't paid for this 12 month offer, why should anyone else?

Thanks for taking the time out to re-read my post but sadly you're mistaken - yes I am on a 3 month free trial but as mentioned these free trials are for new customers only and cannot be re-used once the trial period ends.

Therefore I have also purchased the annual card earlier today at only £39.95,however I do not need to activate it until August 2012, therefore when my current 3 month deal ends in July I can activate my annual membership which I payed half price for - Happy Days!! :D

I have a gormet society card which is similar to this and as mentioned, YES you can get vouchers for the chains, but individual local places like indians and steak houses don't tend to put out vouchers. So if you eat at those places then this card makes good value for money.

Maybe your petulant, childish later comment ("Note to self, stop posting deals and start making negative votes & comments on other peoples deals instead.......if you can't beat em - join em!!! lol") is one of the reasons for so many cold votes.

Maybe also the fact that Tastecard frequently run deals for these cards at £29.95 (there was one last month, for example - and it also fixed the annual renewal at that same price).

bought mine from ebay for £3....only used it a few times as the 1 local restaurant that i could use in revoked the use of the card. just glad i didn't fork out too much for the 12mth membership, but a good deal for those that like to eat out rather than eat in

Personally I find the Tastecard to be useful, as it gives you access to a wider range of restaurants than the discount vouchers you can find, and it is 50% off or 241 on all courses.

However the £79.99 price isn't real and like DFS they always have a sale on discounting the card to £39.99. If you take one of their free one month cards at the end they will you offer you a card at £39.99, and if you ignore that, then they will usually offer you a card for £29.99.
