Bought a pair of these when they were £42, price has dropped further so just go myself another two pairs. Basically the same as the race version which is £45. Very comfortable and good padding to protect vital parts on those distance cycles. Worth every penny, won't find better for similar price

The Trace bib shorts use the CyTech Elastic Interface ‘Giro Air’. The pad is the same as that used in the dhb Aeron Race range. The multi-height, contour design has been engineered to add extra foam where you need to eliminate pressure points. The pad is laminated with an ultra smooth, lycra top fabric to keep you comfortable.

To improve climate control on this summer garment we have used the ‘air’ version, which allows hot air to escape easily and fresh cool air to circulate inward. Lycra sport body fabric offers freedom of movement and provides exceptional muscle support. Mesh bib braces further help to keep you at the right temperature. Leg loops are elasticated with silicone grippers to keep them firmly in place.

Really comfy, I like these for autumn and early/mild winter riding. A shade hot for summer, but then I am quite a warm person, some or my friends wear the full leg big all year round...

Good price

curiously enough, although they are called bib shorts, about the only bit that isnt covered is the bit a bib would usually cover

Oh I've been looking a little into buying a pair of bid shorts (only just getting into road riding) but not having even tried any on can anyone help me out with sizing of these? I'm 6 foot tall around 12 and 1/2 stone and a 34 inch waste (so decent build for a runner/cyclist). What size should I be looking at Large or Medium? Or would it be safer to order both and send back what doesn't fit?

There is a sizing guide for each brand on Wiggle, simply click on it, they are pretty good at giving you the right information.
I would have thought that you are a Medium to Large size one.

Cheers sirlukas. I've looked at the sizing charts before but was never sure if better going by height or by waste size. Having read lots of the reviews there seems to be several where the person is about the same size/build as myself and medium has been fine for them (a little short when standing but fine when on the bike) so think I'll take a punt with medium.

If you're just starting and do not need a PRO fit, but a bit more comfortable one, then go for the Large, me thinks.

I'm used to wearing compression kit for running/mtbing so I'm happy with a snug fit - ordered medium so will test them out next week.

Cheers again

Looks like they're probably on sale because they only have the matching jerseys in extra small.
Still, cracking deal. Just ordered a pair and I'm only slightly miffed I bought the Aerons for more a couple of days ago! Heat added.

These shorts are brilliant! I have a pair but unfortunately paid twice this price.

As a clueless wife buying spared for her husband your comments have really helped! Fab deal :-)

Luckily I get supplied with the majority of my Castelli kit, I don't believe the usual price of bike kit, just so extortionate, so this is a great deal. Just imagine... new set of rapha kit for example, about £160 and you slide down the road first time out....

I'm roughly the same size as you but with a very skinny bum and legs and Wear the small. Fit much better on me than the medium.

i've had a couple of pairs of Dhb in the past, (one Aeron pro and another standard Aeron bib short) and i do have a pair by CRAFT, the DHB Aeron Pro's are by far the more comfortable, and these are basically the same shorts with the same pad.
was a bit tentative the first time about the sizing, but the DHB sizing is spot on, i've been fine in their mediums.. i'm about 75-78kg 5'6 and 32" waist if that helps anyone with sizing.
these are great for this price. gonna get another set.... and as they say once you go Bib you wont go back to normal bike shorts!

I don't have skinny legs so the medium fits perfectly for me.

I managed to cover over 160 miles in 3 rides this week - the fit is very good, the pad is excellent the only thing I'm not sure about is how long they will last. They have been washed 3 times and the black on the widest part of the legs is already stared to go slightly grey and one section, where I rubbed my thigh against the bars, has kinda pulled a little. I'm still tempted to order another pair, as at this price it makes sense to have another pair ready to go.
