How about the other models then

Just remember, before buying a laser printer check the prices for toner cartridges. Otherwise you may end up with a > 4.0pence per b&w text page printer (my HP Laserjet 4000 costs 0.2pence per page), that will consume a 1 year printing budget in a 1 month period.

Although the C1235cn itself is £60 cheaper than the Samsung CLX-3175FW, consumables are more expensive. We couldn't find them discounted at all and have therefore used Dell's prices of just over £47 for each toner cartridge, nearly £114 for the photoconductor drum and £17 for the waste toner container.
This gives a cost per page of 4.7p for an ISO black page and 18.8p for colour, both including 0.7p for paper. These compare with 3.45p and 13.6p, respectively, for pages from the Samsung device, so you would make up the £60 difference between the two machines after you've printed 4,800 black pages, or just 1,150 colour ones. These page costs are not particularly good, even for an inexpensive colour laser. > Review source <

So is the offered cheapest one from Dell multifunction

Dell 1235cn Multifunction Colour Laser Printer

My point is that at that sort of price point the ijtdirect offering beats the dell for value for money with ease.

You are onto a winner there. 13 year old Laserjet 5 here. The consumables for these are dirt cheap. Typically, I buy a 6000+ page toner cartridge for £15 on ebay.

I am sure your LJ4000 is a better bet as it will be quicker than mine and use less electricity, whilst the consumables are still very cheap. These HPs are good for around 500k prints before they wear out. Both the LJ5 and LJ4000 were £1,000 plus when new and buyable now for say £20. These are proper Hot UK Deals!
