Im sure this was posted twice a few days ago.
#2
Excuse my stupidity but.....Do you divide the prices posted by 2 for the per person price or is the price posted the per person price??
#3
Someone looking for a honeymoon could get a real bargain with this, heat added!
#4
Its Sandals with a great reputation for luxury so the price would be per person im guessing
#5
Always heard good things about these sites, but you will have to 'put up with' a steady stream of beach weddings throughout the day. Hot from me
#6
Having stayed at a couple, they dont quite live up to thier marketing hype - a bit "butlins in the sun" if you ask me!
#7
i cant find anything available, tried loads of dates from man to antigua and st lucia but computer says no!!!

i went to a beaches one a few years back and i see what you mean, but had an amazing time.

scuba was part of the all inclusive stuff as well so free diving almost every day twice a day.

Not sure if they still do that however as they were talking about removing that from the all inclusive package.
#9
Are these the adults only holidays? as a mum of 8 I have no chance of going good deal if you can get one though
#10
Beaches are the family friendly version of the sandals so would be suitable for kids.

but with 8 of the blighters it will cost you a pretty penny, money off or not!!
#11
one of the first places I'd be going if I won the lottery.....dream on....

what dates were you looking at as if it's summer time that might be why as me and my partner looked at st lucia for this summer and sod all came up from the main tour operators as apparently the start of the year is their main tourism time
#13
i saw this in the london lite yesterday, some brilliant prices - shame my OH is a teacher though

I’m presuming its 50% off the accommodation, so you will still pay for 2 lots of the flights, plus any extra hidden charges, still not a bad deal though.
If I’m wrong and its 50% off the total cost this is red hot!

"Sandals Resorts offer an exclusive couples-only holiday experience ..."

I wonder if, in this day and age, Sandals Resorts continues its policy to ban same-sex couples, e.g. gay men or lesbian couples?

Did Sandals St Lucia about 5 or 6 years ago(can't remember which one), Mixed feelings about it really,Food is top notch with different restaurants from,Japanese,Italian,French and many others, All drinks are free, but only the house wine is free in the restaurants, and they never seemed to have enough drink at the bars, would ask for a Southern Comfort, and the barman would run of for a couple of minutes and then come back with half a bottle, very strange.

Accommodation was poor, when we got to our room, the wife cried, which is never a good start, There was no view, a big hole in the bathroom door and it just felt dirty and depressing, and our friends room was much the same, so the wives went off and sorted it out and got us changed, but the average room is worse than a Travel Inn, but it was still quite difficult to get the room change, and the wife was a Travel Agent at the time who had booked more than her fair share of holidays to that very resort.

Activities were good with the Scuba diving and such, they also had a bus that went from one resort to the other, so you could catch it in the morning, and use all the other resorts restaurants and Bars, and all there amenities, as if it was your hotel, and then come back in the evening, which was good.

Some of the Resorts I imagine are in poor areas(as St Lucia is)so may account for the rooms not being to our standard, when most of the people there seem to live in shacks if what I saw on the hour minibus journey to the resort is anything to go by,But on the whole I would have to say that it was worth the money and we did have a good time, and we would do it again,Also I don't think I will ever eat that well again,I cannot put in to words how good the food was,If you went to a restaurant here with food like that you would burn through the price of the holiday in 3 days, So I will give it a  .

sounds good to me

an amendment should be made to the deal... it's not the holiday place doing the deal it's sandals resorts.
#19
Don't forget, July and August is the start of the Hurricane season! We went to St Lucia last August, and the humidity was 100% some days Argh!
Few years ago we went in April, and it was much better. Lots of sun and no rain.

It's 50% off the total price, not just the accommodation.

You can also get this deal on the Sandals website and with Virgin holidays.

don't forget 6% quidco too

Only 'mad dogs and englishmen go out in the midday sun', or to the carribean in our summer! Like Florida, you have hurricane season pretty much May to Oct/Nov that will end any holiday, you can set your clock by the daily afternoon downpoors in many places and the humidity can be oppressive. Therefore, their peak season is Dec - Apr when the hurricanes, humidity and daily rain is replaced by lovely weather.

Great deal. H&R:thumbsup:

I believe Hurricane season finishes in End September - beginning of October (at least that was what I was told when I flew out for my wedding)

Sandals are couples only, over 18's but the offers are also applicable to Beaches Resorts (there are 3 in Jamaica and one in the Turks and Caicos) which are for singles, couples and families. These are also applicable on the 50% offers.

Sandals or Beaches resorts welcome same sex couples my friend as they have for a number of years now. They do not conduct 'gay weddings' at their resorts.

Correct, it is a Sandals promotion being run in conjuncion with the Mail on Sunday (31st May) but it is bookable with various tour operators such as Virgin Holidays, Thomas Cook, Hayes and Jarvis and Funway. You can also contact your favourite TRAVEL AGENT who will do all the hard work for you and check all of the participating tour operators.

Also, just to point out that Sandals has lots of room categories and the deals are on mostly on the higher categories i.e. Concierge and Butler so you are getting a great room at an amazing price. They are also valid for 2010 departures so you can plan next years trip and get a good price now!

Happy holidays!

I wouldn't book with sandals, they're probably offering these deals because they are going under.

a 5% deposit will not save them :whistling:
And a credit card and ATOL protection means you are safe :whistling:

Great deal. You dont get the free weddingmoon package if you book a 2010 deal tho :(

Always did seem strange that they banned the section of the community that has the largest disposable income? If they tried it now the compensation claims would be phenomenal, all any gay couple would have to do is go to the travel agent, have the booking refused and hey presto thousands in compensation ;-)

If thats the case then i want to know what butlins you went to. Food, drink, entertainment and water sports all brilliant.
Only priblem is it's Jamaica and im not sure if you can go outside the complex.
#34
I completely misread the title as 'Scandals' holidays.
#35
There's something not quite right with Virgin's booking page. 2 adults and 3 children to Jamaica came to a bargain price of £146229. I was expecting more like 5 thousand or so.
#36
get yourself a nice property in jamaica for that:-D

Have you ever been?? In my experience of 3x 14 nights in the caribbean it doesn't rain every day at the same time as I believe happens in Florida. Also, most hurricanes are August to November:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/understanding/hurricane_season.shtml

The chances of being affected by a hurricane in the English summer is low. During my trips (June, July and August) i've rarely seen rain.

Wasn't there one Sandals hotel that was featured on a late night tv show?, it was full of fat American swingers trying to get jiggy with your wife.

If they still ban single sex couples then I certainly hope so! :x
