New offer has popped up for Amex users, expires on 31/12/2014. In-store purchases only, includes gift cards.

This requires you to purchase a £50 PSN Card before purchasing the PlayStation Plus 12 Month Membership (but it still works out way cheaper than any of the other deals for this at the moment! £25!)

_________

Instructions:

1. Load Argos Amex offer to your card (see loading instructions below).
2. Buy £50 PSN Card (you will get £25 statement credit back from Amex).
3. Purchase PlayStation Plus in the PlayStation Store on your PS3/PS4 (£39.99).
4. You now have 12 Months PlayStation Plus AND £10.01 PSN Credit left over, which costs you only £25!

_________

How to load Amex offer onto your card:

Use Foursquare to load it to your card if it doesn't appear on your account.

If you haven't used Foursquare with your Amex card before.... (thanks to morgie)

1. Sign up for a Foursquare account at https://foursquare.com/

2. Sync your Amex and Foursquare accounts - https://sync.americanexpress.co.uk/

3. Install the Foursquare app on your smartphone.

4. Search for the merchant (Argos in this case) in the app. Click on the American Express offer and select 'Add to card'...the text on the button should then change to 'Added'.

5. Spend the required amount on your card in store.

6. Check in on your statement online a few days later to check for the spend and credit.

OK im confused. Is the real deal not £50 PSN credit for £25? I am not sure why you have mixed it up with a PS+ sub?

I suppose it is - but you can use that to get the cheapest PS+ Subscription available. X)

Similarly you can duplicate this and say buy such and such for £50 to get £25 credit. This simply smells as duplication to me.

Haha ok thanks. Was thinking that if the post was just for the PSN credit, people may not realise you could then end up getting PS+ for that amount. :)

People may not want PS+ and with the christmas sales on they could do a lot more with the £50 for £25 :)

Was cheaper to use double nectar to get the ps+.
Now just use double clubcard boost. Assuming you have those cards and enough points of course!

Was or is? I think this is a great deal for people using Amex. The same as CC points or Nectar not everybody has them.

Cold from me...it's just a re-post this.

The real deal was posted yesterday morning and has become a scorcher.

This isn't a deal on a PSN top-up or PS+ subscription....

What next? ITunes Voucher for £25?

Have to ask, is this not essentially a cashback offer with Amex? Thought cashback wasn't allowed to be posted as part of the price for a deal.

Cashback websites are very much more unreliable than Amex cashback. If Amex fails to track, people have reported Amex CS crediting their accounts instantly.

On the other hand, I'm still waiting 6 months down the line after being scammed by Ladbrokes Casino/topcashback. Thankfully I won my bets with Ladbrokes, but it doesn't give them the right not to honour the cashback deal.

Chalk and cheese.
