If you redeem your nectar points on selected 'Star Treats', or at selected nectar retailers before 31st December, Nectar will give you an extra 500 nectar points by 31st January.

If there's nothing that particularly interests you, you can still benefit from this by just 'spending' 500 points at Argos, for example, and getting £2.50 off your shopping there. When nectar give you your bonus 500 points, you'll have got £2.50 of stuff from Argos for free. The same goes for the blockbuster or cannons day pass deal.

I got this through the post today too I was going to get this http://www.nectar.com/rewards/generalSearchOfferDetailsCatMain.nectar?ROM=ROM0008688

but I think I'm gonna go for this one http://www.nectar.com/rewards/generalSearchOfferDetailsCatMain.nectar?ROM=ROM0008687 now because it has much better views on amazon.

how much would 15,000 points be off my shopping instead?
#4
You'd get £75 off your shopping

You'd get £75 off your shopping

strange - amazon sell this thing for £40 so I'd be better off having it off my shopping & just buying the thing from amazon.

I thought it was supposed to be better to get the gifts instead of cash off shopping oh well never mind.

worto.
#6
So - what can you get from Argos for £2.50?
#7
Ooops just checked - you have to spend points in blocks of 500 too
#8
so if i want something at argos for £10 i can use 1000 points ( 2 blocks of 500 wrth 2.50 each) and i will recieve the nectar bonus and i wont have to pay anything extra?
#9
It's one redeem per cardholder (i.e. no more than 500 bonus points per cardholder irrespective of how many you spend at however many locations).

Note also that when spending the points at Argos/Blockbuster/Cannons/VUE, the bonus points will not be credited until 31st January 2009 at the latest.

Still, another 500 points never goes amiss!

With blockbuster doesn't this equate to a free dvd rental? I.e. one block of 500 points spent = 1 DVD rental = 500 points earned.

Yep. So technically a free DVD rental.

I have 39,000 points... Don't ask.

Have never spent any and did get the mailing this morning.

I am after a photo frame, and noticed the Philips on offer.. Can not see the resolution anywhere, found it on amazon for £44 so it makes the Nectar one expensive (I think)...

Any ideas what to spend this lot on?

1000 points redeemed would only be £5 off your order, so you would still have £5 balance to pay.

The way it could work is this...you pay for your £10 item using 2000 points, nectar at some point credit you with a bonus 500 points, making your net expenditure 1500 points. So your item will have cost you £7.50 instead of £10 effectively. (and obviously this would work with any combination of points and cash used to make up the value of the item)

do we need to register the nectar card or purchase the blocks online for this offer

or
can we just get that directly if we go and purchase some item and spend 500 points in any of the stores above. I am planning to use 500 points in Argos. Do you think I will get back the 500 points in January.

Please let me know

If you're spending at Argos it should work if you just swipe to redeem. You only need to be registered to redeem your points online for the star treats.

Do you think Argos points spent on 31st december will be included?
#18
I haven't got my points yet
