Very good quality suit for great price - voted hot
#2
Everything on TM Lewin is overpriced (£65 shirts, but buy 4 for £100) so the £500 tag is questionable.

But these suits are very good quality, and this is voted hot at this price.

Thanks.

I'd prefer 10% quidco

Hate to say it but when you blow up the Wentworth suit it looks really cheap. - I find the claimed original price of these very hard to believe!
#5
I don't know about these suits, or the quality. I have tried many different retail suits and the only ones i like are made by Austin Reed. They have a pretty good sale section when its on and they fit very well and look great. I feel this price is too low to sell quality

They are only overpriced when compared with George from ADSA and Primark fashion.

Merino wool suits. You're not going to get that for £150 in many places. Except maybe M&S who also have great priced suits.

..and I find it really hard to believe that anyone would attempt to judge the quality of a suit by zooming in to web-quality pictures. Your argument from incredulity therefore fails.;-)

it does stink of a company going bust...

I've had two suits with 4 pairs of trousers for just over 4 years now.

They dry clean well, stiched properly, well cut and they are nice to wear.
I've been waiting for a better "corporate offer - think this is it!

I'm replacing mine as they have got self -induced damage - otherwise I'd be betting they would last a while longer.

Be nice if they did a deal on dinner jackets too.

I agree that they are overpriced - I would never pay £500 for a suit or £60 for a shirt.

This price for a suit is M&S money for what I perceive to be better quality. Voted hot.

Not really. I got my wedding suit from them 2 years ago, £500 original price, reduced to £250. They do it all the time. Which does suggest they are overpriced originally, but the quality & fit are excellent.
#12
Really good price, love the cut of these suits, I've got three :)
#13
This is their business model. See also DFS and SCS.

Decent quality for this price. But £500 for an off-the-peg suit? Ha ha ha ha.
#14
Lewin's going bust - I doubt it mate! - Take a stroll around the square mile and you will see plenty, often busy too.

Their suits are nice quality - agreed £500 is not the price, and everyone who's been in Lewin's more than once knows the deal with this and the shirts.

You obviously can't glean much from web images RE the quality - just pop in a shop and try one on for size then come home and rinse the discounts online lol
#15
they arent going bust, they do a lot of corporate offers to big companies, offering even bigger discounts than what you see on here, but they have very selective target marketing.

but they remind me of the DFS of the shirt and suit world... always an offer!

they are good shirts, but I'll stick to my PINK for all my shirts.... as for the suits, give me a timothy suit from M&S any day.

What do you get from Asda? A £35 suit that won't fit you no matter what size you buy. They are cheap, nasty awful suits that look bad compared to anything with quality.
#17
Is this a joke?

Are people seriously comparing a these suits to ones from Asda and M&S.
I have a number of M&S suits, from a variety of their ranges, Autograph, Timothy Everest, Collezione etc... and the TM Lewin suits are much better quality suits in my opinion!

£160 for a suit is a great deal in my opinion, and I honestly doubt you can get cheaper than this?

still very expensive for a suit, i paid around £90 ish for a nice suit from either burtons or topman or a similar high street store in the sale, was nice quality too.

the rrp's are just crazy:P Even a good tailer hand making you a suit wouldn't cost you £500 unless you went to a really pricy guy.

Nice suits. Good price. Bankers wear these suits. Suppose it's all they can afford these days!

Would agree, these suits aren't that great, their service is pretty poor also. They allow you to buy 38inch legs that will be adjusted to your size, yet the workmanship is pretty shoddy, had to send one back, they hadn't even bothered to check them before sending out.

I get my suits from a tailors in London, who will adjust the whole suit (fully adjust) to fit you properly for only £40-£50 more.

A proper fitting suit is 100 times better than a decent cloth that hangs off you.....

Yeah bankers may not be getting bonuses, but they still know how where to get a decent suit and that isn't Lewin's....

Yeah they buy Brioni suits which are paid for by bail out money paid for by us!!!
#24
code won't work

Lewin shirts are excellent quality and long-standing and I expect the same from their suits.

Material is generally more important than cut (stiching is very important though) as a cheapo asda suit will be from cheapo modern textiles therefore more likely to get very sweaty (and get more electric shocks from your car!)
#26
The voucher is an old and expired one, a mate tried it and it's not valid...

Which tailor are you using in London?

Thanks OP. I've just received my suit today and am well chuffed with it - the material and fit are really good. Fantastic deal.

Anyone know of any working codes - none of them are working for me!
