Yeah saw them advertised in Wembley yesterday, unfortunately they had none in stock yesterday.

loads in Taunton last night if anyone is looking

looks very similar to one I had from deal extreme which only worked for a day but at least with Lidl its easy to take back. I will try to resist though as my obsession with keeping things charged is already well gadgeted for.

Will I be able to charge the device and phone at the same time? So once this is charged it starts charging the mobile?

Should do over half an iPad charge. It's about as heavy as a LG G4

Can you guess who is responsible if this cheap crap kills the device it's charging? That's right, it's YOU!

Personally if I'm going to be spending over half a grand on a device I'm going to be hooking it up to something by a known brand, so at least if it causes your device to blow you know they'd protect their reputation and brand by paying up for a replacement. Does this Lidl device even have a brand name?

Yeah Anker is better but for under a tenner this may be (from youtube search) SilverCrest?

I'm not going to pay extra for everything to do with my phone for big 'IF' scenarios. I know plenty of people all using dirt cheap portable chargers bought from that auction site and none have had it 'kill' their device. Worst thing to happen is the battery stopped working.

I'm a firm believer of buy cheap buy twice but this is backed by a 3 year warranty. Found Silvercrest branded goods to be well made in the past anyway.

If I've spent more than half a grand on a phone I'd expect it to be able to handle whatever crappy charger I plug into it. I remember watching a video a while back of Nokia using lightning to charge a Lumia 925, I definitely don't don't think that anything out of a 3 pin UK socket should damage a phone that expensive as long as it's plugged in correctly.

Silvercrest stuff is excellent quality. Tested numerous charging products with an amp meter and they're fine.

I've been using a silvercrest cable for my iPad for 2 years and it works great and is far superior to the garbage stock apple cable.

Just be careful that "5000mAh" might not actually mean that in real terms. I bought a 10000mAh Xiaomi Power Bank for about 8 quid from Gearbest earlier this year, but it's "truly" rated at 6250mAh. Love the Xiaomi though - reckoned to be one of the best power banks out there.
#33
does this have a USB C cable included?

loads of em in the Elgin store, didn't grab one as I have a drawer full of unused power banks. Always seems like a good idea at the time then I never use em.

You're confusing Lidl with Poundland.

Both Aldi & Lidl generally sell things of very high quality - their expertise is 'value for money', not cheap.

But you stick to that nice Mrs Tesco; and she'll stick it to you.

About the right price for this capacity, so nothing special.

going on your logic, don't buy the (very highly rated) car battery chargers from aldi or lidl.

Have you tried Trallwn/Penlan/Morriston/Gorseinon? (Actually don't think Trallwn is reopen yet.)
