Cheapest deal around for a 500GB external hard drive. Only available to collect from store at Comet, delivery is not available for some reason.

With Quidco or Topcashback, a 3% cashback takes this to £33.94.

1TB drives seem to be £50+ so this makes and ideal low cost alternative. There is better value on the 1TB drives when you work out pound per GB cost, but many people would struggle to fill a 500GB let alone a 1TB, and for them this drive is the one to go for.

This is not a portable USB powered drive, but it appears to be £15 cheaper than the 2.5" portable 500GB drives. If you need to be portable, this isn't the drive for you. If you got a spare socket next the device you're going to plug this into, (PC, laptop used only at home, media player, Wii, etc) then this is the drive for you.

not bad i guess - heat added
not 15quid cheaper than portables - they are fairly often in the low 40s now

In fairness just spotted a portable drive on here for £44 from ebuyer, I do have to pay for delivery from them but for most it's free, and another for £46 delivered. So about £10-ish cheaper than the current 2.5" drives available.

Now showing as out of stock. Good price while it lasted.
