Well, the MJ Samsung S2 didnt like to be reformatted.

Also, with FAT32, you cant place files larger that 4gb... but you can with NTFS.

I had no problem reformating to Mac file type to work with my Apple TV.

Yes - which is why I was wondering why being FAT32 was an issue.

(I have a 'normal' Samsung S2 640Gb - that came as FAT32 and was not problem to re-format).

OK - I see some people have reported issues reformatting these drives.

I saw a reference to using this Samsung utility:-
http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/support/downloads/support_ex_fu.html

That actually is a tool to re-format as FAT32 and a set of instructions to format as NTFS in Windows - might be helpful if you did have problems.
