Nice, quite a decent deal. I'm looking for a HDD but a 2.5" one instead.

Could do with adding a bit more information like:

Toshiba PX1394U-3G50 / 500GB / USB 2.0 / 3.5" / External Hard Drive

nice price!cheers!

huge failure rate with this over on Amazon. Drive is WD (so they reckon and OK), but caddy very poor. Lots of unhappy customers.

Moderating, that's leaving out the bad ones isn't it?;-)

I've had the caddy on one of these fail even though the drive inside, also WD, was ok. I'd give it a miss.

As soon as I saw this deal, I remembered the 1TB version was only £20 more. So only an ok deal, and quite cold compared to the larger one, in terms of bytes per buck.

Reading that second review on Ebuyer, What is it with electrical items, I'v had 2 DVD players, my media center case and my main computer case all have blue LED's that can burn your retina and render you blind at 100 yards.:)

Good deal, As we all know that Play is just hassle free.

Ive checked this 500GB one and the 1TB over on amazon and no bad reviews?
Do you have a link to the bad reviews, as seems high rated when you search the model number of these drives and was thinking of buying one from play.
