You've fallen for the marketing, I see

Tesco (and Asda) have the 500ml bottles of Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Mild & Light Olive Oil and Olive Oil for £2.00 each. This works out as the same price per litre as the Napolina offer and obviously you only have to spend £2.00

Whats wrong with it? For the price what is better? (honest question) I use it regulary for frying, marinades, making bread and Pizza bases etc but I do have some more expensive Oil for dipping and drizziling.

Lots of oil offers at the moment, Asda have the 500ml "Special" version of this for £2. Also 750ml Oliv'l Olio Monocultivar for £3. All tastes the same to me, grab whatever there is at your local/usual shop as far as I'm concerned :-)

All oil is on offer at the moment as the new season is about to be pressed !
Try fresh pressed oil against the extar virgin they bottle and its like Burgers v Filler steak !
Still a good deal for everyday oil though.

Surely if they can afford to give you 2 for £4, then they are bogging their arms in and fleecing you if they sell 1 for £3.78 ??

I think someone else has mentioned that the new seasons pressing is about to happen so this could be the reason for the offer. Plus you do get Loss Leaders or whatever thay are called. Anyway, the profit Tesco's and the like make every year I think its taken for granted we are getting fleeced regardless what we buy.
