I agree.. may not be 'the best' for concrete although description says 'select hammer function for concrete'. But @ £4.99, you cant go wrong along with a 12 month warranty.

Agreed, its not a Professional quality drill but for most DIY jobs around the house it'll do the job just fine. No better or worse than any other drill aimed at the DIYer - 500W is the standard offering for a budget drill even fromn the big manufacturers.

Hot!

For £4.99 why should you expect it to drill conrete and bricks? Though for most of London's older housing stock there isn't likely to be any problem. London Yellow Stocks and red rubbers are almost soft enough to make holes in with your finger.

I got this drill (sander and jigsaw) for £2.50 each last year.
Not bad quality for a tenner (the original price).
#8
This is actually a good buy for £5. I got one just because when I get someone who asks to borrow a drill I will lend this out and not have to worry about it.
#9
At that price - disposable. Voted hot.

At £4.99 you cant complain. Its cheap enough to buy for a job and then through away. Although absolutely terrible for the enviroment

I got the £8.99 Tezzers Value Drill [600W] and it is superb. the drill bits you get with it are rubbish and snap easy, but the drill itself is faultless. great find.
#15
great stuff - my last 10 quid drill has starting making scary noises so the timing is perfect :-D

I hope its better than the Tesco drill I got off them last year, it didnt even last 2 uses before the chuck came off, even when I screwed it back on yes it had a screw inside the chuck if came off 2nd use and then buckled.
#19

just got one fron tesco extra in highwoods, colchester. they were hidden behind some other drills and there was no price up! there were still 5 left after we took 1:thumbsup:

May be a coincidence, but I picked one up as a spare and the casing is identical to my old Bosch hammer drill. (PSB500) The depth guide, trigger, chuck, etc are the same, but obviously, like revels you never what you'll get inside!

I feel ashamed

I done a funeral march to the til and bought one.
As expected, cheap tat, but worth a fiver.

Will use it for mixing so doubt it will last fore more than 5 minutes

 Honestly - what do you expect for the price of a couple of beers or a packet of fags!? And in most cases, they would be gone quicker that this! VOTED HOT. £5 + (for wot its worth) a 12 mth .... :whistling:

IMHO i will not drill down in to the pros and cons for £5!!! :p

Well done Edi! Yet another fantastic find for some of us....

Puuurfect:thumbsup:
