i have the 500w corextreme im running a fx 8120 + HD6870 and gpu factory overclocked so on full load both need about 400w + and the hd 6870 recomends a 600w psu , everything running smoothly , so its a decent psu -

Buy from these con merchants at your peril, buy elsewhere if you value your hard earned cash. Once they have your money they couldn't care less, as I found out. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

They seem to have a lot of bad rep do scan but they have been fine for me, also this psu was on amazon for the same price the other day. I've had the 500w & the 600w and they are good supplies

I've heard that OCZ customer service sucks - you may have a warranty, but this often involves sending the heavy PSU to the Netherlands at your own expense which will cost you around £20 and that's the untracked price!

For the first 12 months at least, you should be pretty much covered by Scan and their customer service is a lot better nowadays (I believe it took a fair few court cases to get there - just like with ebuyer!)

Anyone know volume levels? Got an old Core 2 Quad and stuff lyring around in need of a PSU and wouldn't mind using it as a server but need something that isn't very loud.

Bought one from Amazon at £32 to replace the noisy cheapo PSU that came in a Zoostorm (the rest of the PC components are fine BTW). Couldn't be a greater contrast - the OCZ is quiet with a far higher build quality.

Well worth this price as the zoostorm has finally shut up!

Have you ever been unlucky enough to use their sorry excuse of a customer service? try getting something replaced/repaired under warranty and be preapred for a long battle with these shysters.

First trick, deny it's anything to do with them, its your problem go speak with manufacturer - WRONG.

Second trick, finally agree they have a responsibilty, but refuse to replace or repair the item and offer a refund at a fraction of the original cost. £60 external HDD, offered me £34+vat. It's not just me, check out the horror stories of other failed customer service stories. Was very tempted to go to the small claims court, but they upped their offer after dozens of emails. Hassle not worth it, stick to Amazon.

Doesn't it depend on how long you have had the item? After four weeks you can't get a full refund according to the Sale of Goods Act.
