    Product Information (from John Lewis)

The Samsung D6900 TV delivers a whole wealth of entertainment direct to your living room, giving you access to HD broadcasts courtesy of built-in Freeview HD, on-demand services such as BBC iPlayer and 4OD and access to breathtaking 3D entertainment, all packed within an ultra-slim design.

    600Hz Clear Motion Rate
    3D (with 2D/3D conversion)
    Wi-Fi built in
    4 HDMI
    USB 2.0
    Freeview HD

Changing the way you think about your TV, the D6900 will bring the world to your living room. Samsung’s Smart TV platform will provide a gateway to a multitude of entertainment ranging from video, music, social networking, news and games amongst others. Best of all, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity enables you to get online straight away.

It also offers subscription-free HD broadcasts without the need for an external box via Freeview HD. To watch Freeview HD broadcasts you’ll need to check that you can receive it in your area. Click here to find out more about Freeview HD.

Social TV combines watching your favourite programmes with interacting with your friends. Imagine you’re watching a crucial sporting encounter, or the X-factor results coming in. On a side bar you’ll be able to contest dubious decisions, celebrate great moments and gloat in victory. It’ll connect to your Facebook, Twitter and G-mail accounts through your TV whilst the story unfolds in front of you. A neat Search All function will plough through the whole content of your TV, connected Laptops, PCs and other devices which are linked to your TV, such as your digital camera or camcorder. It’ll find relevant matches such as links to download the programme, a quick bio, its Facebook fan page and even whether the film or programme is on TV within the next 8 days!

Connect to a compatible 3D ready Blu-ray player and you’ll be able to watch all your favourite films in glorious 3D. It’ll convert your 2D movies into a 3D spectacle you’ll have never experienced before. A clear motion rate of 600Hz makes action scenes appear smoother, crisper and clearer. Four HDMI and three USB slots allow easy connectivity of peripheral devices too.

    Full HD 1080p
1080p is the purest form of high definition that a television can display. This leads to a smoother, more film-like image, which will satisfy sports and movie lovers alike. With a 1080p signal, the information that makes up an image is displayed “progressively” or all at once, rather than in an “interlaced” fashion.

No worries mate, no need to apologise.
That looks great. But for this particular tv or model is this not a decent deal, particularly for people interested in this or a samsung?

PRC Direct, no thanks. Borderline rude if you don't take their 'sales' advice or have a warranty issues when they are busy!

TV is ok, but prefer the Panasonic plasma range, now might as well wait a month for the Panasonic 50 series.

Can recommend this tv, over on avforums it's well rated and quite a few have returned their led/ panny plasmas. Wouldn't buy from prcdirect though pricematched through jl and got a 5th warranty. Has been this price before so not a great reduction

very good tv if you get one 'without' the installed tattoo gun although i think its more common in the 59" version
i returned 2 59's and settled on the panny, picture is not as good as the panasonic but if it wasn't for the buzzing i would happily have kept it

Yep Ive got the 51" so no buzzing problems with mine.
    callum84
I've heard the buzzing comments a few times but can't say ive ever had a problem. When volume is at zero and your room is absolutely silent you do hear a faint buzz/whine which changes frequency between light and dark scenes.
Can't see it ever being a problem unless you have superhuman hearing, watch silent movies or watch porn with the volume down :D

If you have over £2k burning a hole in your pocket. I would be happier getting a JL PM @£899, with the peace of mind 5 year warranty.

I just got my new 51" Samsung PS51D6900 (2nd hand from a friend) last Sat and love it. Better quality tech than in my old LG. I still love the LG though but things like the menu is quicker and playback from USB sticks is very smooth and goes from the first file to the second seamlessly ( it knows the last time you viewed on the first part and then starts the second part from that exact point) things like that makes this Samsung a bit special.

BUT hopefully someone could point me in the direction of some 3D glasses? Cheaper the better i would say.
