Remember anyone who can't find it - use this link:

Not the standard retail price :)

Hmmm... already at -6 despite no-one posting a reason or a cheaper 9800GTX+. Funny... Yes, it is similar (probably slightly better, overall) performance to a 4850, but there are some fairly significant advantages - PhysX and CUDA, cooler, good for those with SLi boards...

Compare the cards:

Oh well - their loss ... voted hot as its a good deal (even though i preffer ati :))

Gee - colder still. Where's a cheaper 9800GTX+? Where's an ATi card that can handle PhysX? Perhaps look at this article to see how running PhysX through a 9800GTX+ kills a 4850 (with CPU Physics calculations) in newer games...

Actually I read somewhere that is being done.

Agreed though - good offer - and EVGA are quite good apparently :)

Me too - except that PhysX games are coming and it's quite clear that GPU PhysX is better than CPU PhysX... At the moment this card is on par (or slightly better) than a 4850 imho, but the PhysX support makes it slightly more future proof...

Complaining? Interesting comment. My bewilderment grows!

I don't care if people think it's cold - I'm not buying one and I don't take this personally. I was just wondering what the reasoning is. I often give reasons for why I don't vote either way. I am genuinely interested in knowing why this is cold...

I am now confused as to why you wrote your comments about people voting cold in an attempt to wind me up? As someone who posts constructive comment in the community spirit rather than looking to rubbish other genuine posters, your sentiment is the only thing I might find offensive - not the cold votes. All I've done is to post further information to support the "warmth" of the deal. If arbitrary cold votes are the expected result, it hardly motivates me to post information that may be helpful to some...

Maddogb was just highlighting the fact that you've mentioned on several occasions that you dont know why its cold, whilst i too do not understand it, you have come across, albeit unintentionally i believe, to be quite the complainer lol.

Anyway i shall vote hot as it sounds like quite a deal, and i payed more for my 8800GT last Xmas :(

I do find it tedious when an OP keeps going on about why is it so cold, why no feedback! People will vote as they will and it doesn’t always make sense to me but I really don’t care at the end of the day.
Life is strange I’ve noticed; best just to get used to it I suppose. E.g. A company wants to buy Man City and pump 100s of millions of £ into it. Try posting that as a deal on here and see how cold that gets. :w00t: Probably get loads of feedback though.

I'd even go the cheaper Powercolor HD 4850 for £111.92 on ebuyer, or perhaps the unbranded one on Aria's superspecial for about £108 delivered.

I still think the HD4850 is better for the price than the 9800GTX+ - unless you specifically want PhysX. If they were the same price, I'd go for the 9800GTX+. At the moment, if you're just looking for a single card for most current games, the 4850 is the way to go. IMO at least.

Heat & rep added.

Thanks for the heads-up. My BFG 8800GT OC2 died within 4 weeks of buying it in May. I got my £120 refunded and have been waiting for an instock £130-ish 9800GTX+.

The EVGA is a good deal.
