This is basically an underclocked GTS 250:

GPU 700 MHz (Normal GTS 250 736Mhz)
Memory 1000Mhz (Normal GTS 250 1100Mhz)
Shader 1850Mhz (Normal GTS 250 1836Mhz)

Expect it to be a touch slower than a stock GTS250 (can't find any reviews, but going by the spec, probably round 7%) and the AMD 4850, while being touch cooler/less energy hungry.

And most importantly, over £15+ (over 20%) cheaper than most GTS250/4850 :)

Edit: No longer on Today Only as reflected on the title, but still cheaper than everywhere else. It's also now a 'Hot seller' (wasn't this morning), so I guess at least a few people went for it :)

Credit to CAT-THE-FIFTH on Hexus for finding this deal.

Scan sucks but good price. If it turns out to be faulty you will be dealing with a bunch of priks. Dont bother!

Hopefully it uses the same design as the 1GB model so will be very power efficient compared to everything but the HD 4770 which is hard to find so over-priced and has a high idle power draw anyway.

I wonder who well it over-clocks considering that they under-clock it! Maybe they are the lower binnned GPUs?

I've never had any problems with Scan products I have bought, so never needed to deal with the so called "a bunch of *****".

Still two PCI-E power connectors on it so not that green at all.

I agree, they sent me a used AGP card once, thick with dust it was but they wouldn't have it, I was furious that they denied it. i cleaned it up and Ebayed it, I actually made money on it as it was cheap at the time but that's not the point. Scan should change their name to Scam.

I found Scan customer service good.
Was sent a damaged PSU.
It was collected and replaced without a problem or any cost to me..

That’s a mistake in the description as these cards only just require one 16 pin PCIe connector.
