512MB USB drive with inbuilt encryption technology.
The sort of thing that government agencies should be using rather than sending unencrypted CDs through unsecure couriers ...

From the web site:
"Lexar JumpDrive Secure II is a USB 2.0 USB Key with advanced password and encryption software giving you peace of mind that your data is safe. Half the size of the original, JumpDrive Secure II sports a sleek industrial design that does not obstruct neighboring USB ports, and also has a fresh metallic silver look.

JumpDrive Secure II comes preloaded with advanced security software that lets you protect your data securely, quickly and easily. Creating a secure area using both password protection and 256-bit AES encryption is a snap. Simply drag files to the secure area and JumpDrive Secure II encrypts your files for you. Drag them out and it will decrypt them for you. Secure II software is cross-platform so you can secure data and access it on PCs and Macs."

True, but most drives don't include password protection and encryption. 1/2GB will hold a hell of a lot of MS Office documents. That's 2/3 of a CD's capacity. Not bad as a secure document backup device.

True but that involves downloading and installing and configuring extra software. The Lexar stick makes it easier if you don't know about such things.

If your computer knowledge doesn't extend to a relatively simple task like installing a piece of software then is it really a good idea to have secure information on your computer in the first place?
