I saw one of these Archos models on a Gadget Show review and they thought it had a bad interface, flimsy but best range of features and best sound quality.
Can't find that review, but they review the 605 here.

Would recommend any Archos kit from personal experience. Just factor in the costs of the extras.

Have a 605 and a 405. Will probably be getting rid of the 605 only cos' I use the 405 and cannot justify having both. Have not had any problems with either - find them stable easy to use and audio and video is of a good quality

The 705 is a bit larger but has the advantage of a big screen. The best thing about these players is that they are not fussy (once you have forked out for the plug-ins) on the video media they will play. So many devices require video conversion before you can watch anything.
