Thanks to Marlovian on the iPhone 4 case thread. This seems much more versatile, and has well over 3 times the power capacity. It works with any USB device and outputs 2000mAh so is will be able to charge the iPad and other power hungry devices. It includes adaptors for Apple dock connector, Nokia and Samsung along with micro USB. This would also be suitable for all Orange San Francisco / ZTE Blade users.

It looks like if you use a mobile browser you can can select a free delivery making the price £8.50 Thanks Timbo_UK

Also if you order 2 you qualify for free postage Thanks The Therapist

Can this be used as a USB host when charging the phone?

Been looking at this one at £26, good reviews etc.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Trent-Dual-port-IMP50D-Blackberry/dp/B004AM1OK4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1308496216&sr=8-4

But this is under half price so think I'll give it a go.

Cheers

Should do, looks like it may come with the tip for it but even if not then you should be able to use the original USB cable
It has a full USB port, so if you have a USB charger for you device, you can plug it straight in!

The two one/two star reviews saying it's useless would suggest otherwise.

Can i use this with powermonkey traveler tips?
The battery died rapidly so i am reluctant to buy another power monkey.

I want to use it on an old Palm PDA or old Palm Treo which i bought a tip for from the Power monkey website.

Palm had weird power tips that were not on the usb cable.
You had to change it from a power brick

Would this be suitable for the orange San Francisco smartphone or would a powermonkey be better?
#15
Does it only have one USB out? Would be nice to charge multiple devices at the same time.
#16
Hmm seems good price but I'm not sure how useful it would be.
#17
Nice find.. ordered 1 for spare. Already have pebble which is awesome.. but the price is almost triple!. At this 1/3 price with same power is very good deal. Now just hope that it perform well..
#18
Hot! Got myself one for when I'm working in hospitals and my iPhone dies mid-call...
#19
Is it really 2000mAh output? Can someone confirm please.
#20
Have been looking at the pebble but way its way outside my budget for now. Shame theres no sony erricson tip for my shabby old phone, sure i can cobble something together though. Thanks!
#21
Why does it say £9.98 when both are selling for £8.49 + postage and that seems to be over a fiver?
#22
Nice, I'll have one of those 8) thanks OP.

How are you getting a delivered price of £9.98? When I try, special delivery (at £4.99) is mandatory, and the checkout page breaks down like this:
Movpower 5200 £7.08
Royal Mail Special Delivery (Next Working Day) £4.99
VAT 20%: £2.41
Total: £14.48

The reviews would say otherwise. Also not compatible with ipods without purchasing additional lead.

I'm tempted to get one for my Desire HD.. but not sure if I will ever use it. Could only see this being handy for festivals, and nothing much else.

So that's £14.48 (-21p Quidco, net £14.27)?

Choose the Royal Snail 1st class service for £1.24.

"When I try, special delivery (at £4.99) is mandatory" -- by that I mean that it doesn't let me choose 1st class, but only allows the special delivery option. At £4.99.

I'm not being awkward: I would buy this for £9.98 delivered and I'm failing to achieve that, so would appreciate help working out what I'm doing wrong. If it is indeed £9.98 delivered, of course. :{

Does this work with the iPad 2?

Where are you getting it delivered to?? Maybe they penalise for some areas - like companies often do to me up in Inverness because I'm HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS - despite the fact I'm in a city and not an island or anything bizarre.....

Try putting in a fake postcode and then alter the rest of your address manually? It won't go tot he post code when delivered but to your address. I often do this to get out of the forced raised postage costs up here (which are despicable!). I put in an Edinburgh post code - sorted.
