I'll be honest there wasnt any on shelf and I asked the help tesco person to find me one and he said "we have a box left" after a few minutes of looking on the system he couldn't find this box. Might be at other tesco's but i took a photo of the tag to prove. Wasnt sold out just couldnt find this so called phantom box. This was Tesco Hampton @ Peterborough

Nice deal voted hot.... But!!!
Bought and used cheap tools made from "monkey metal" before, watch your knuckles...
#11
Heat, good if you can get it, but more chance of a certain lower body cavity healing up.

are these just a seriously low price or are they 74p quality ( i.e. they'll grind down when you try to use them?)
#13
I got something similar for £4 sometime ago and along with a bunch of other cheap tools.
Any time someone asks to borrow my tools I give them the cheap ones and they can screw them at their will.
The cheek of some is to ask for my makita extensive tool box and hammer drill-driver :-)

[marineengineersopinion]Tesco, imo, are a bunch of bar stewards that personally want to skin your knuckles. They are also trying to invent new technology so they can boil the sea, for free, and then sell you the sea salts that are left at mad mental rates[/marinenegineersopinion]

In short I wouldn't touch any tool set that costs less than the daily papers.

If they boil the sea will that reverse some of the effects of global warming in time to save Hull and Portsmouth? -

"In a model that explores managed retreat from the coast in some areas, Hull's historic city centre would be limited to an island reached by bridges and Venetian-style water taxis, while in Portsmouth large parts of Portsea island would be given back to the sea while new "hillside living" developments would be built on densely packed hillside terraces, akin to the towns of Italy's Amalfi coast"

Also, will their value range of white kettles be updated to contain this 'free to boil' technology?

Apparently, the sea boiling has been dumped due to Lidl. They, Lidl, will want to undercut Tesco obvbiously, but my source says Tesco are going to try and corner the gondola market instead!!!!;-)

Buy 3 gondolas get a box of Cornettos free , FOR EACH OF THEM{tesco exclusive}.

Joking aside, its worth posting because sometimes Tesco fail to update the shelf edge tickets and it could still be market up at a much higher price.
In my local store it would still scan at the higher price but I can't find out why we always seem to have the highest prices, any ideas???

"It has reached this correspondent, that Tesco have bought every tube of Savlon/Germolene for 8k mile"

Ulterior.Motives.PVD is available for free on a 50 quid spend.

I don't know, do you live in a wealthy area or are local wages higher than anywhere else?
#21
No, Southend is not classed as wealthy, think its benefits capital of the world..........ah (light goes on in brain).....
#22
Yeah they will be rubbish quality at that price, but still a good buy. With 58 pcs there should be a wide range of sizes so inevitably will come in handy and should withstand light usage.

I bought a set when they were a couple of quid, as you say they aren't the best or most comfortable screwdrivers in the world but there are quite a few different sizes and I found the torx ones particularly handy for removing the security screw on my ps3.
