# Stainless steel.

# Comprises 8 each of table knives, table forks, dessert knives, forks and spoons, teaspoons and soup spoons plus 2 serving spoons.

# Dishwasher safe.

# Gift boxed in a mahogany effect canteen.

# Manufacturer's 25 year guarantee.

Works out about £0.78 per piece, and its a nice varied set. Viners make top notch stuff (even if this does turn out to be their 'bargain bin' range).

Out of Stock for home delivery but may be available for collection at your local store...I emphasise MAY (only one of my local stores had it in stock). Am going to collect my reserved box in a short while so will add more information regarding steel grading, design etc. when I've looked in the box

Viners stuff is hugely overpriced so with that half price reduction it lands it at a decent price, not a super bargain.

would make a lovely housewarming pressie.

There's one in my local Oldham store.

The price says £59.79 though.

How did you get £44.99?

Anyone actually got one yet?
Whats the quality like? Heavy cutlery?
#13
In stock at Hastings if of interest to anyone.

They feel nicely weighted to me (not that I necessarily know what good cutlery should feel like). I compared the feel to some posh cutlery and some cheap cutlery that we have - comparable in weight to posh stuff (if not quite there), but noticibly heavier than the cheapies

No indication as to whether 18/8 or 18/10 steel.

Do we know if these are Sheffield Steel?

I have Viners, not great quality, very overrated, really they are fairly cheap. They have lasted me just over 1 year but I wouldnt buy them again.

If you want quality buy german, the WMF set for £5 more gives you much more value for money. I've just ordered this set from Amazon.

It depends what you're after really...not many people need 12 place settings in everyday life, but perhaps would for a special occasion. In which case the WMF may be better for you.

Personally, i originally ordered the WMF, but then saw this with a more varied assortment of 'implements'...much better suited for every day use IMHO, and its decent enough quality for you to not feel like your cutlery is going to float away mid-meal.
