I've seen this deal before a month ago but looks like they have some more in stock, it doesn't come up in search results anymore so may help others out.

There's very little reviews for this television but apparently there isn't any ghosting during films/gaming and has very nice colors. The cheapest television for 60" is around £750 so this is a bargain in my eyes!

I could not find any reviews about this to save my life but I can give you enough info to inform your decision. This is not 100hz but only 50hz. 100hz is only a new way to market 50hz tv using 'calculations' after digital processing. The real refresh rate is 50hz. Saying that, most would suggest you not to buy this tv because 50hz would be terrible for a tv of this size. But that is not entirely true as the tv handles motion really well. Yes, there is a good amount of jittering when camera is moving from one side to another but it is not extreme. I am a movie fanatic and this is only a minor problem with this tv.Now to the good part. This tv produces perfect images! The colours are spot on and the black levels beat the the crap out of most tvs double the price (excluding plasmas of course). Despite the us of edge LEDs, there is no clouding, no flashlights, nothing. In other words, this is truly a bargain which I do not understand why people don't care about much. If you are looking to buy a huge tv and not break the bank, this is perfect and pure value for money. The guys at richer sounds told me that none of them actually tried out the tv but still went on and told me not to expect much from it based on the price alone. Of course I understand that as they judged it only by its price. Calibrating is not reaaaaaally needed as when you switch to Film mode the colours are not far off. And I am one who cannot sit and watch a movie without pausing it to fix his projectors brightness and contrast...In other words, I would def buy it again and would not spend 300 pounds more on the Sharp one just for higher motion rates. Of course this tv is not smart but I don't care. And btw, I have forgot to mention that this thing can play dual audio MKV file with subs from a portable hard drive plugged in the USB.. 0.0If you need more info about the panel itself, you can take a look at reviews on UE32H5000 which is a veeeeery similar panel. I hope this was helpful. Ps. Be careful when you try to set it up as these panels are very fragile. Don't put it face down or anything in when you try to screw the base as this can cause clouding problems when pressure is put on the panel and frame. Happened to me and managed to remove it using by wiping the screen with a soft cloth.Update: For all those who did buy it, you can find the update file for the TV in the support -> Downloads pages of samsung UK site. Just unzip the exe file and copy the whole folder in a USB, plug it in the tv and update

I recently brought a Samsung TV with 400Hz and that copes with PS3 gaming with very little lag, however, sometimes it's noticeable. So 100Hz will struggle, stay away from it.

The 100Hz or 400Hz tells you nothing about the suitability of this set or your set for gaming. Its marketing guff, used to describe frame interpolation employed by the set and isn't even standardised as a measurement across manufacturers.

If anything, such frame interpolation is the last thing you want to enable when gaming as it inherently introduces lag. If gaming and lag are important, check reputable reviews which measure input lag (avforums is a good place to start). Do NOT look at the advertised "Hz" as you could easily set yourself up for a poor laggy gaming experience.

The real question is who still watches DVDs??
You should be watching Blu rays with a tv this big, and I guarantee you the image will look amazing.

Personally, I think the reason they only put 2 HDMI on big TVs is because most AV fans have an amp and surround system which all of the input devices connect to....

I only use one HDMI on my TV because it all comes from the Onkyo amp...

Every console peasant will tell you that human eye can't even see above 900p and 30fps, so why bother with this 100Hz full HD nonsense.

Your "400Hz" Samsung only has a 100Hz refresh rate. See the "Fake Refresh Rate Conversion Chart". I don't know what this TV is like for gaming, but saying it will be rubbish because it's got a quarter as many hertzes as yours is not helpful. It's like claiming my (oldiish) 12 megapixel Nikon DSLR must produce worse pictures than your 16 megapixel phone camera.

Edit: Actually, it's not. But they're both pointless comparisons.

Bought this TV from Richersounds a week ago, advertised for £599 but I had a £10 voucher from the VIP so £589. Was looking for the biggest screen for my money and can't fault it. Used it to watch general tv and PS4 gaming and it's ace. So for the money this deal is hot.

I can't think of any decent modern television that has more than one scart socket. Even back in the day if a CRT had more than one Scart socket, only one of them would be RGB compatible, thus you would (or should have) run a Scart splitter anyway.

Paid £500 for 50" 1080p 3 years ago so £70 more for 8 inches and in 2014 it's not all that great in my opinion.

Hopefully 4K will come down quickly because any TV over 42" should really have this many pixels going forward.

From what I've gathered, 42" to 58" is a massive massive difference.

    38.10% larger diagonal than a 42"
    90.70% larger area than a 42"

I'm jumping up from a 32" to 58" which is:

    81.25% larger diagonal
228.52% larger area - near enough 4 32" in actual screen space.

For smart features, you could hook either a chromecast up, pre-order the amazon fire TV (which is amazing btw) or get one of those boxes off eBay that have media centers on but I've forgotten the name of.

Also, all this talk about "Hz, input lag, **** for gaming", I've personally spoken to people with this TV and even those who are picture perfectionists say this television not only performs well but looks absolutely fluid and stunning. I play PS4 on my 32" basic television and it looks beautiful and performs great so why would this be any different? Are people failing to realise that this is a SAMSUNG and not a Bush or some unknown cheap brand? Get a grip!

Absolutely. Most tv's that have 'smart' features add on average around £75 to te price compared to similar models without these features.
A Google Chrome stick adds smart features and a whole lot more besides for £25 so you do the math.
