Since the virgin deal has seemed to be only for Virgin Staff members, i think ive found a pretty good deal without having to go through all these cashback processes.

£25ppm (reduced from £35) on an 18 Month Contract = £450
£90 Quidco Cashback = -£90

£450 - £90 = £360
so overall

£360/18 months = £20 per month with a free 5800 and a good amount of minutes and unlimited texts!!

seems alot better than the CPW deal which is £15 (£5 cheaper) but you only get 100 mins AND you will be tied into a 24 Month contract.

Also if you want to get it unlocked it seems alot dearer (£20+) on other networks, but if you look on ebay you can get the 5800 unlocked for £5 if its on voda :)

Think you need a calculator as £450-£90 = £360 and therefore £20 a month IF you get the quidco !!!
hahahah i think i put £430 instead of £450 when i did the calculation......thanks for pointing that out btw Jase. post has been edited :)
i took this deal out as my upgrade package last week i think its well worth it, decent phone ( when my replacement arrives! ) and lots of minutes and unlimted txt, good deal from vodafone as i think they needed to revise there plans and prices to keep up with orange etc.
IF you get the quidco !!!

yeah i've been onto 2 different vodafone contracts with quidco and both of them took about 3-4 months to get tracked and validated, it does take abit longer than usual but from my experience i did recieve both the £90's eventually.

i just see it as alot easier than having to fill out those cashback forms, sending them recorded delivery etc, but thats probably me just being unorganised lol
ps vodafone will unlock your handset for free if you request it after you have been with them for a year

Another benefit Right there lol

Not much of a benefit, cos o2 give all handsets unlocked and so do carphonewarehouse
Might be worth noting -

1) Vodafone tracking on Quidco is very hit and miss whereas CPW group always track within the hour.
Read through this site and many people report that the 90 quid did not track.
Lot of money to factor in to your costings and loose.

2) Vodaphone do have custom software for this, and this usually means that some internet settings etc. are disabled.
They will unlock for free at the end of the minimum rental period (18 months!!) but that will not get the awful branded firmware off - do do this will require hacking the model code and upgrading and I'm not sure that this model has been hacked yet.
Does this come with unlimited Internet included as does this 20 pounds/month deal on 12m contract with no branding and no simlock -

If you want to use things like google maps and other goodies that run on this beauty you will need the Internet and lots of it :)
Really annoyed.... got almost the same deal from Voda upgrades last night except that they charged me £45 for the phone and no quidco.... Think I'll be calling them back come Monday morning.... :-(

Vodafone handsets are now almost always unlocked from the box altho they do come heavily branded externally and software....

If you do get a locked unit, a quick call to Voda will have it released for free in a matter of a few hours.

You can get it for £180 on a 12 month contract. Probably not as many minutes though.

Anyone currently on O2 give them a ring and you might get the deal they gave me yesterday.

I rang up asking for my porting code as I was going to go onto the vodafone deal.
I then got form O2;

600mins, 1000 texts and unlimited internet and email with the 5800 for free for £25 a month (18 months).
I tried the shops for an O2 upgrade and they were no where near as competative, the retentions team on the phone were much better. From personal experience Ive found the service from O2 very good so was happy to stay with them.

I was also offered by O2 retentions:
600mins, 1000 texts, unlimited email and internet, motorola mp3/bluetooth earpiece and £50 arcadia vouchers - all for £20 per month if I paid £69 for the motorola earpiece. No good for me though as I dont want the earpiece or the vouchers, also finding the £69 was a pain so just went for the £25 deal.

Its an awesome phone and all that for £25 is a bargain. I was paying £20 a month on simplicity for the same mins and internet but with no phone.
how much internet time is included...

modern phones with all these features are of little use to me unless internet time is included in the price

i had a look on the vodafone website and the cheapest unlimited internet option on this phone seems to be £35 a month contract

dont know if the £25 one includes any internet
Never mind - edited because I sorted the problem
