5KG bag of Onions only £1.00 at ASDA

5kg bag of onions only £1.

Asda have done this deal a few times before, and the onions are medium to large in size and good quality*.

IF you keep them in a cool dark place (pantry/cellar) they will be good for 3-4 months.

*These are NOT value/smart price onions.

I was very annoyed when couldn't find any 59p sainsburys basics onions and I had to fork out an extra 41p for the normal ones, now I'm just in tears.
#6
Now all i need is 5kg of cheese for my massive C and O pie.
#7
Wow, this is a crackin' deal! I love onions. Shame they make me fart like a horse!

These bags are normally full of small onions. Would get bored quickly of peeling them all, rather pay more and just buy the biggest onions individually to save time.
#9
Wow, great deal. Thanks!

I grow my own onions and I am still eating last years, they easily last 3 to 4 months if stored correctly
#16
I store mine in the garage on wire garden shelves ( like wilkos sell for seed tray etc use) They keep for months. I daresay onions we buy are months old half the year anyway.
#17
never get these in my asda, hot though.
#18
Great deal. Does anyone still have pantries or cellars though? :-)
#19
If anyone can tell me where to buy a 10 gallon glass jar i will pickle these for christmas
#20

Your wrong, these are good quality large/medium sized onions.

I think you are referring to the smart price ones which I agree are small and awkward.

A farmer mate of mine used to grow onions for Tesco, at the time he was paid 9p/kilo and they were selling at 60p/kilo. He has now switched to cereal crops.

Has anyone actually managed to find any of these in any Asda anywhere?. None in my local and seems a lot of other posters are finding these unavailable too.
