  More onion deal news...I bought 10kg of onions for £1 yesterday from Al Halal in Bradford.

  Lidl: National chain, deal likely to be available in other stores. Dirt cheap onions from ethnic food shops, fine if you have such shops in your city, and even if you do, can often mean a special trip out of the way. Good info I think. Lidl have been known to drop these to £1 in Nottingham. Will go and check.

  Worldwide foods, a Pakistani Cash and Carry have 10kg bag of onions at the moment for 99p.
  
  Some of their stores are listed here: http://www.alhalalsupermarket.co.uk/files/store%20locations.htm
  
  But there are others such as in Oldham which is not listed above.
  
  At most larger Pakistani shops, 10kg bags of onions are going to be cheaper than at Lidl.
  
  Hope this helps some people.
