but if you need a 5m cable this is probably not any worse than rest of this end of the market. but yes if you only need 1m...this is not needed

Yes I agree, the shorter the better, but I need a 5m one, and if it is a long one then a fully shielded version with Lfetime warranty for £4.50 cant be sniffed at.

Does it even matter what HDMI cable you use? 1.4 HDMI yes but would any quality do?

Just read up on it. ANY cable under 5m will do. 1.1 will carry 3d so no need for 1.4

Basically, the cheaper the better.
