Or £6.25 + postage. You'll be lucky to make £1 per unit.

Expect ebay to be swamped with bedroom entrepreneurs making 10p profit after they've driven the price down.

Even less after ebay / paypal fees and the odd scammer!

Thats what we like to see - ebay profiteers aint welcome here :-D

The best tape measure you can buy. Pity there are none in Northern Ireland. I would have bought a back up one .

Hmm. Don't think that is the spirit of this site. Shame you denied others the opportunity really.

Managed to find / reserve one in one out of 3 Exeter stores. Thankyou for original post.
#13

#14
Sold out in London & 150 miles radius of Purley Way (so the site says)

Heat added just looks like I bought the last one at Grehound Industrial Park Chester. Being sold off cheap as Halfords saying it is being discontinued. Thanks

They had non in stock at the Wyvern in Derby but a very helpfull assistant is picking me one up from the Mansfield branch on his way in tomorrow.

'Glydesdale horses, twelve hands high. Hands, of course, the ancient system for measuring horses that's been around since medieval times. Course, tape measures, in those days, were viewed with suspicion. Anyone who could unfurl fifteen feet of thin sheet metal from a pocket-sized box would have been killed as a witch. Tragic, really, to think that girls, some as young as the ones holding balloons over there, would have been burnt at the stake. May God have mercy on their souls.' Alan Partridge

Luckily, there are so many people on these site just buying bulk and reselling, that they make it very hard for themselves to all earn money. They would in fact be better served hunting out alternative, less popular bargain finder sites..
#21
None in stock at the Hamilton store. And doesn't look like any in stock without travelling 19 miles from there. Yes, down with the fleabay ******s. Ruining deals for their own greedy selves

EDIT: B-ugg-ers is a swear word?

On the plus side, once you start listing 20 identical new items for sale, its kind of hard to convince the Inland Revenue that you're not running a part time business and therefore due to pay tax on your profits.
Not that ebay track every single transaction or anything. :whistling:
#24
30 miles away, typical halfords.
#25
Just collected one. Thanks OP. Heat 'n' rep!
#26
Thanks OP

Managed to find a branch which has both the tape and knife in stock.

Funnily enough the reserve and collect worked although I did ring to check that they had picked the items and I wasnt going on a wasted journey. I think part of the Halfords problem is that my items were simply sat on the parts counter along with another tape and knife so anyone could have nabbed them and just taken them to the till at the front of store:whistling:

Probably on benefits too. Who else would have the time to visit all those stores.

I'm sure most of those saying they bought tons are Bullxxitters,Trying to look good these would not sell on ebay and make a profit not with postage,Its a tape for gods sake and worth a fiver. No more.Aldi do a 3mt and a 5mt tape for £5 the pair and just as good.
#30
These are good tape measures and better than your average shed branded. This will last, I've had mine a couple of years and its seen some abuse in its time. Its a bit grubby but still serves a purpose, cant say the same to some of my old tape measures.
#31
well had one from kingsways in derby plus had the safety knife as well

H&R added
#32
just picked up 2 from sheldon birmingham...reserved them yesterday...one is gonna be going abroad to my inlaws.....seems they dont have decent tap measures over there lol...
#33
I wouldn't worry too much about people saying they bought 80 to resell. They are just winding you up!
#34
i'll wait till they have all gone , no rush....:)
or they'll go in my shop for 9.95!
pennies make pounds.................................
#35
