  Last time i ate there i complained about the amount of chips i got (about 7) and was told it was a "set weight" portion, and i could not have any more!

  In our local all steak meals now come with a free drink/pint
  dont know if this will be classed as a gammon steak meal for 5 ounce tho?

  Mustn't cost them nearly this much to have an employee pour frozen bags of food into a microwave. Not hot :p

  Up in Glasgow you can get ham, 2 eggs and chips for £2.25 at the Henglar's Circus (the best Spoons in Glasgow as its ale is sub-£2 and always well kept).

  have had this a few times & pretty good for £3.49, i make sure i ask for the afternoon gammon & egg as have been charged £7 for the larger option

  You are right about that. JDW know how to maximize profits. Sell cheap, put pressure on suppliers, pay and treat staff badly because there is always another sucker around the corner looking for a job ( and boy do they turn over some staff oO ) Have to vote hot though as it is a good price

  I dont go to wetherspoons expecting gourmet food, but when their prices are the basically the same as buying a sandwich I`ll enjoy what they have to offer.

  It's cheap but I never really wanted to eat at a Wetherspoons after a channel 4 documentary showed they use Zebu meat instead of British Meat as they advertise.

  You haven't been in the Derry/Londonderry spoons then :) A poundshop sandwhich and drink would be an absolute treat compared to that place. Service would be better too.

  3 years ago they did fish and chips/ tea or coffee/ and bread and butter for £2.99. Now that was a great deal.

  That's an increase way above inflation over the 3 years if you do the maths. Cold for that one.
