AS you may be aware the 4 big supermarkets cut their price of petrol today by 3-5p.
But GMTV reported it as Sainsbury and Tesco only doing it if you spend £50 instore
Hubby just came home from work (Tesco) and says WRONGGGGG
They cut petrol 5p at the pumps PLUS you can get another 5p off if you have the voucher from the til making a big 10p off a litre so hubby reckons he saved £4.50 tonight alone

Now i know lots were aware of the 5p till spit voucher but the fact this is addtional is probably new news to most

When this offer was last on, I bought several dvd's and a frying pan to take the total over £50 and I got the voucher. Maybe this promotion is different but it should say so in the smallprint on the posters outside/inside the store.

Its not likely to be the mods expiring the deal, more likely to be a few members clicking on 'expired' after not finding the deal at their local tesco

Expired? It should never have been posted!!! Tesco have NEVER stated that they will reduce by 5p/litre as policy, only that they will attempt to match local competitors prices, which I imagine is the policy of EVERY garage regardless of brand or market conditions! I'm sorry but this is very, very silly, do you want me to start posting every time I find one individual garage a couple of pence cheaper than another? Bread and milk perhaps? Maybe the thread could be ammended to "5p off the pumps at my local garage!" :p
#28
Voted cold because Tesco have not knocked 5p off the pump price at all their garages. Yesterday morning, no reduction, yesterday evening 2p reduction. No till spit voucher given to me yesterday in Tesco either. Petrol much cheaper at Asda.

Just because there is a small price war between supermarkets at the moment does not constitute a deal. My local supermarkets have made no such reduction although my local newsagent is selling half price Daily Mail's this morning.

Hey, maybe I should start a deal for this.

Sarcasm is lowest form of wit and you just aint funny
Just look at all the threads you started over past 2 months , only saw you post 1 or 2 deals> So no you wont start a thread advsing other members of a deal as thats not your way.
You seem to either like just having discussions or criticising the site .
Having discussions fine but until you start trying to get other members good deals i dont think you ina position to criticise mine
#33
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, don't post a deal and expect every comment to be positive -you have got no chance of that happening whatever the deal is. Chil:)

Blimey mate! You won't last long on this site if you are gonna get upset with anything that you don't like. Just chill. :p

So, according to you, no-one who doesn't post deals is allowed to have an opinion. This is a forum, isn't it?

I could post silly deals all day long, but I prefer not to. :whistling:

They have only reduced ours by 2p a litre, has gone from £1.19.9 to £1.17.9 today.
#36
yep 2p off here now aswell :)
#37
if oil prices have gone down why hasnt shell esso etc reduced prices as well? not trying to get the postponed 2p increase money by default by any chance?

pump prices are normally a few weeks behind the spot crude price. Crude has fallen 10% in a week so the supermarkets must just have decided to take the imminent price decrease themselves in order to get people in the stores.

Shell etc won't do this as they aren't in the food business. Their prices will drop in a few weeks.

Woohoo - fuel is down by 0.02 a litre. In the event that I fill my 70 litre tank to the top that's a massive saving of £1.40!!!!

What an absolute waste of time that would be driving to my local Tatco or Scumsbury to buy cheap and nasty supermarket fuel !!!

Sometimes I think it's me taking crazy pills. You want real savngs on fuel - write to that assclown in Number 10 and tell him to pull his socks up OR get the hell out.

I disagree I find sarcasm quite witty. Plus, its a fallacy to draw attention to a persons sarcastic remark, because any wit is better than no wit.
