Shell fuel far superior, wait until you need a new EGR valve and you'll realise that cheap supermarket fuel with no cleansing additives is a poor alternative.

in fairness tesco is only 1p a litre more for diesel than asda and morrisons in cardiff at the moment, so this is acutally a good deal. usually they hike up the price so they are 3-4p more expensive.
tip for other hotdeals members is that if you go to a tesco express petrol station you also get double clubcard points. its only single points at the normal supermarket petrol station

No I can't I'm afraid, but worth thinking about. Most folks swear by V-Power Diesel on the Honda Accord forum I read.

OK heres how I see it!!!!

Tesco fuel day before yesterday 113.9 per litre
Could some one or all those getting petrol from tesco state how much it is now per litre
Times they do this fuel thing and put the price per litre up whilst they do the offer

Absolute con merchants

IT SHOULD BE £113.9 per litre less 5p per litre
Lets see if they do this again!!!

TBH, 5P OFF isn't much good any more. It needs to be 10p at least. I save around £2.50 on this deal and I always go for it, but after a few trips to Aldi (yes you cant always get what you want) but things like 4pints of milk = 95p @ Aldi verses £1.60 Tesco (or 2 for £3), eggs are quite dear and fruit & veg are loads dearer than aldi, and the stuff is AS good if not better in some cases. Your losing £'s at Tesco, to save on the fuel.

My Fav's......The thick and creamy yoghurt there (27p each) are worth going in for just for themselves! The crumpets are vastly better than supermarket or brand names but cheaper....and the fizzy orange cheapo drink (47p) is as good as orange tango. Im still going to Tesco, but not as frequent now. I could quite easily live of crumpets, yougurt and fizzy orange! burrrrppp.

My local Tesco is 119.9 for unleaded, there's a filling station round the corner doing 115.8.

That's how they do this 5p off thing, by holding the price up and then pretending they are giving you something.

As for cheap supermarket fuel, Tesco use GreenEnergy, Sainsburys use BP.

incorrect sainsburys stopped using bp months ago. they now use greenenergy aswell.

Tesco fuel prices usually 1p or 2p more expensive than competitors. I am trying my best not to shop at Tesco and I prefer to shop in Asda, Lidl or Morrisons.

hmm thanks for info, I've stopped fueled up there, because they kept their price 116.9 + same price observed @ Hamilton , despite most of fuel stations were 113.9-115.9.
113.9 Asda, morrisons, sainsbury
115.9 bp,shell, etc.

Tesco fuel is ****

I have worked for a fuel company (big one!!) - it's true. The main 'expensive' companies are so because of the difference in the additive packages. That's why they can charge more. And because I 'used to work there' I am now allowed to say so.

i would not put this carp fuel in my car... for the sake a couple af quid every tank i go for decent fuel for my engine thanks

I suppose it was about the same price but I wonder what it'll go up to today. I'll be in the bay tomorrow so will check. I rarely save that much with these 5p vouchers any more. Still better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Voted hot.

Thanks Tesco. Already the cheapest fuel where I live by 3p / litre - this makes it even better. Think I'll make a special trip and buy some (25% off) wine to qualify for a petrol voucher.

I had my voucher refused after filling right up. Moaned at the staff who said that despite the large tesco sign the garage was Esso. Annoyingly my petrol receipt was printed out with a Tesco heading.

HA HA just a recap
2 days later when offer starts = £115.9p now @ boggy fleas leicester so they are only giving you good peeps 3p per litre if that!!!!

I'd say it's more poor design of EGR than the fuel. My Renault packed up after the snow but it was down to the old design. Replaced with a new EGR which has a modified design and these have never gone wrong.

A good deal IF they dont raise the prices. At the weekend Tesco was 1p less than the Morrisons over the road from it. at 113.9 The last time this promotion was on, Tesco was 3p more expensive (at one point it was 4p!), so effectively only saving 2p (or 1p!) per litre.
