This could be just what I need for my car.
It is the correct type but does anybody know if it's any good. The last oil I used was shell helix from car parts for less.

Any advice welcomed.

Would help if we knew what car you have - peddle size etc.

5w30 fully synthetic is correct for my car, however my question is regarding the quality of the Asda packaged / branded oil.

No wish to be rude. But you really do need to educate yourself about your car. Taking advice on a forum like this about your particular car would be very foolish. You need to research the specifics of your cars engine.

Do you have a handbook, if yes what's the recommended oil in there?

its an engine.......it needs oil.......what specifics are you referring to exactly???

there's the viscosity (5w30 already specified)
and fully synthetic (already specified)

what more do you want?

If its diesel and has a euro 4 engine or newer then chances are is that it will have a dpf filter fitted and in that case the type of oil to be used is crucial and I am not referring to the SAE. People who buy oil for their car either as an oil change for topping up need to do some research first before just buying any. If you are not sure if your car has a dpf filter or not then you best leave the oil buying to someone else or buy a car with a petrol engine.
