Is this cheap? Anyone know the cheapest place to get dual layer dvd's?
#2
Northern Computer Markets who do computer shows around the midlands, I got several packs of 25 dual layer printable DVDs for £10.00 per pack, works out at £0.40p per disk

These Verbatim disks, the best optical media money can buy. HOT!

I'm interested to know why someone would need the dual layer discs, surely the single layer are cheaper per disc. I can only assume its for "backing up" games, as film DVDs can be shrunk down to fit a single layer.

i keep backups of my MP3 collection personally, and I also use them for taking images of my PC - easier to use a DL than a regular size as you can get a basic image onto a single disk.

just more convenient for backing up .. and not 'backing up' games either ..

30p from SVP, and so far no coasters.

@imdave - some fillums are over 2.5hrs and can't be shrunk to DVD5 without drastic quality loss.

If the fillum is that long then you can just copy it across on it own, minus the menus.

Thanks. I got a Blu-ray writer in the end as it's easier to back up all my files, music, pictures, movies, etc on fewer discs.

Rep added for the recomndation.

How do I add rep?
